Still over the moon with this win, hard to believe I’m a WNBF/INBF pro now.

Got a lot to process still, but huge thanks to everyone that helped make this happen.

Looking forward to that pro debut, but I’ll take sometime to celebrate this accomplishment first, then plot a path to the next peak.

Got improvements to make and I look forward to working on them.

Special thanks to @smooth.vision.films for capturing it all on film, @wnbfontario , @wnbfcanada and @wnbfofficial, @leroy_rollins_fitness for organizing such a great event, @sombilonstudios for the high quality shots backstage, and my girlfriend and family for putting up with my mood swings during prep 😭.

I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to do this and excited for the future…The best is yet to come 😉

A month ago @smooth.vision.films went along @iyk3 to the WNBF 2023 in Ontario, for the last bodybuilding competition ever before the legend Ikechukwu Okafor became a PRO BODYBUILDER.

This was actually my very first work trip for my own company outside Quebec, and the experience was mind blowing!

This is the Trailer, if you guys want to see the full version of the event and how it went, the premiere will be hold on YouTube on Dec 1st, Stay Tuned.

Thank you @wnbfcanada @wnbfontario & @sombilonstudios -

Flashback to when ball was life, doing loads of cardio and skill training but no resistance training…yea I could run for days, but boy was I weak as shit.

Thank goodness this resistance training shit works 😂

I remember it all changed when I started training more than just arms & abs, and started following a structured plan.

If I can do it, why can’t you? by @iyk3

You don’t need to force yourself to do stuff with a well designed system.

No one tells you cravings are your body's way of asking for specific things.

Chocolate, chips, bread, pasta, each one is pointing at a real need.

Watch to see what to actually reach for, without sabotaging your diet.

You can be excellent at research and terrible at execution.

Every article you read makes you a slightly better-informed person and a slightly less consistent one, because information creates options, and options create decisions.

The fix isn’t discipline. It’s fewer choices.

Pick a calorie target.
Pick a protein target.
Pick a training structure.
Pick a few repeatable meals.

Then stop deciding and start collecting data.
Measure. Adjust one thing. Repeat.

That’s what makes an analytical person dangerous at this. A normal guy waits to feel like he knows what he’s doing. You’d never accept that standard at work. You ship, you measure, you iterate. Same thing here.

Your brain isn’t the problem. Pointing it at the wrong target is.

This is your sign to stop doing cardio to burn fat.

It's great for your heart, but shit for fat loss.

Here's the better alternative, and why it actually works. 👆🏾

Mark Haub proved something in 2010 that most people in fitness still argue about.

He ate gas station food for 10 weeks, hit under 1,800 calories a day, and lost 27 pounds. The exact numbers are in the slides above.

What it actually proves is narrower than the headline suggests.

Not that junk food is good for you. But that the scale responds to a calorie deficit, regardless of where it came from.

Which is where most guys get it wrong.

They obsess over food quality, feel virtuous, and stay stuck, because quality was never their broken variable.

Someone else has intake dialed and their training or recovery is the problem.
Same frustration, different cause.

There are only four variables that decide whether you get lean:

- Training.
- Protein.
- Caloric Intake.
- Recovery.

Haub spent 10 weeks isolating his, but you don't need 10 weeks.

Myth: if progress stalls, change your program.

Fact: if progress stalls, change just one variable and monitor its impact.

Would you believe me if I told you fat loss could get a whole lot easier just by choosing the right foods?

If you said no, then you’re smart lol.
There’s more to it than that, but your food choices can make sticking to your calories a LOT easier.

In this video, I break down some of the best foods to choose depending on whether you’re trying to lose fat or build muscle.

Comment CHEAT and I’ll send you a link with up to 10 recipes in each category, complete with calories and macros.

Comment “FORMULA” and I’ll send you my free Fat Loss Guide + the exact calorie and protein targets I’d start with.

If I had to lose 10kg by December, here’s exactly how I’d approach it.

No crash diet.
No cutting carbs.
No living in the gym.

Just a simple system I’d actually be able to maintain while working a demanding job.

1️⃣ Create a calorie deficit
I’d estimate my maintenance calories and start with roughly a 500-calorie daily deficit.

Enough to consistently lose fat without making my training, recovery and work performance miserable.

2️⃣ Track what I actually eat
I’d track my food accurately for the first few weeks.

Including cooking oils, sauces, drinks and the “just one bite” foods that are incredibly easy to forget.

You can’t debug numbers you’re not measuring.

3️⃣ Hit my protein target
I’d aim for roughly 0.7-1g of protein per pound of bodyweight.

Protein helps keep you full and gives your body a reason to hold onto muscle while you’re losing weight.

4️⃣ Increase daily movement
I’d aim for roughly 8-10k steps per day and build walking into my existing schedule.

Walk during calls.
Walk after meals.
Take the stairs.

I wouldn’t try to find another hour to exercise.

5️⃣ Lift 3-4x per week
I don’t need 6 gym sessions.

I’d focus on getting stronger, maintaining muscle and giving my body a reason to keep the muscle I’ve built.

The goal isn’t to become smaller.
It’s to become leaner while staying strong.

6️⃣ Protect my sleep
I’d aim for 7-9 hours.

Better sleep means better recovery, training performance, hunger control and energy at work.

7️⃣ Track the trend, not the noise
I’d weigh myself every morning but only make decisions based on my 7-day average.

One high weigh-in doesn’t mean I gained fat.
One low weigh-in doesn’t mean the plan suddenly worked.
Look at the trend.

8️⃣ Debug the system instead of abandoning it
If my weight hasn’t moved for 2-3 weeks, I wouldn’t throw the whole plan away.

I’d change one variable - calories, steps or activity - then measure the result.

Change the input. Measure the output. Repeat. by @iyk3
