For a few months now, I’ve had an idea for my next album. I knew I wanted to share my story about mental health and disability to the world through my music. Now, I just had to get the music out.

After sitting on this project for several months, I decided one night to book a session at Weeks Recording Studio and see what I could make of it. Several chart revisions and messages later, 16 other musicians and I recorded 3 of my charts, and it was so much more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.

This is just the start of something wonderful! Thank you to all of the musicians here who contributed their talents and passions, along with @michaelgasparimusic who generously engineered this session for me (and will play lots of keyboards, too!)

Wild Bloom Poetry 8.19.26 🪊

For those who haven’t met her yet, @izzimakesmusic is Wild Bloom’s resident musician.

A trombonist, composer, arranger and educator, Izzi has been part of Wild Bloom since our second gathering over a year ago.

Her music sets the tone before the first poem is read.

After a few months away, she returned to the garden in August.

Today marks the beginning of D.M.A. year 2 at @frostschoolum! It’s kind of wild to say I only have 2 years left of school… ever.

It has been a busy but relaxing day here for me, and I’m excited to get going and do a lot of writing! It’s an honor and a privilege to be a member of the Studio Jazz Writing program here at Frost. I look forward to making the most out of every opportunity.

I also want to extend a big thank you to the @latingrammyfoundation. Without their generous support, this year would not be possible for me.

Hey everyone! I’m very excited to announce I have a limited number of openings in my online lesson studio, G.G. Music Studios. I offer lessons in trumpet, trombone, composition, songwriting, beginning piano, and elements of music (music theory).

I’m eager to work with anyone who wants to explore music for the first time, gain confidence in their playing, and/or learn and grow in jazz/contemporary playing. Ultimately, my goal is to help you become a well-rounded musician and person through our lessons.

Students enjoy growing into confident and expressive musicians, sharing that their lessons feel fun and accessible. Through fun and personalized lessons, our students learn how to express themselves through music.
