PRS after-party with talented singer and recent collaborator
@izzysedda seeing @djmarkknight play some excellent disco as a very accessible history lesson and combined boogie. Thanks dude, was lovely to meet properly.

Im not very good at small talk, so if you're ever at something social, I'll probably just be that guy in the meme at the party geeking out in the corner about something :)

Geeky music post:

The PRS is a fascinating organisation, holding one of the mysterious titles of one of the only legal monopolies over an industry. As you can imagine this has some interesting dynamics.

I was stewarding one of their streaming venue boxes when I used to be head tech at egg, slowly things are changing and becoming representative of what is actually played where, rather than proxying radio play as default everywhere.

If you've ever read Terry Pratchett he wonderfully parodies them as The Musicians Guild who don't really like unlicensed music, to put it mildly. I hope that we see a deregulation of music in public spaces IRL in the UK, and something close to my heart.

As someone off the record said during the course of the evening, "It's a free bar, unclaimed royalties taste good!" : by @izzysedda
