What is fastpacking?

Am still unsure - some combination of slow running and fast hiking?

Took the first day cruisy (probably a mistake), second day quickly turned into an epic. Dried up water sources, too much sunshine and rough, sometimes non existent trail - turned into an 18 hour push.

67km, 4000m vert, 6 hours sleep, 20 hours driving, not enough calories

Incredibly thankful for Steven and Peter who gave us a lift back to our car through the high country and some steep 4wd tracks. Would probably have missed work on Monday otherwise by @j.cnnn_

Eastern Arthurs + Federation Peak + Western Arthurs. Farmhouse Creek to Scott’s Peak Dam.

After briefly meeting @j_cannon.ifc skiing in Victoria the winter prior, we committed to locking this one in. Turns out he’s a lovely guy.
