$3 Treatments I’d NEVER Do Without a Consultation First 🚨 Before you get a laser treatment, filler, or IPL, there are a few things that should NEVER be skipped. 🚨 From screening for conditions like melasma before certain laser treatments to assessing your anatomy before lip filler and performing a spot test before IPL on darker skin tones, proper patient assessment matters. Your skin, anatomy, and individual risk factors should always be part of the conversation. The three things I’d never rush: 🔬 High-powered lasers, such as fractional CO2 💉 Dermal fillers, including lip filler ✨ IPL for sunspots, especially when treating darker skin tones Education matters. So does choosing a qualified provider who takes the time to assess YOU. Subscribe to ScinKraft for evidence-based skincare, medical aesthetics, and honest conversations about beauty technology. #MedicalAesthetics #skincare #DermalFillers #IPL #SkinHealth by @j.j._blade$

We’re not judging… but we do have a few questions. 👀

When it comes to your face and skin, who you trust matters. Proper training, experience, and safety should always come before a good deal or a viral trend.

Do your research, ask questions, and choose your provider wisely. Your face deserves it. 🤍

Dancing with the Stars: filler or not? 💉🪩

We’re breaking down some of the faces you’ve been seeing in the ballroom and talking about what treatments could be behind the look. Filler, Botox, skin treatments… or maybe just really good genetics? 👀

Who should we break down next?

3 Aesthetic Treatments I’d NEVER Do Without a Consultation

Before certain aesthetic treatments, a consultation isn’t just a formality — it’s an important part of determining whether the treatment is appropriate and how it should be performed.

Here are 3 treatments I would never recommend doing without first assessing the patient:

🔹 Fractional CO₂ / high-powered lasers — underlying conditions such as melasma need to be considered because certain laser treatments can potentially worsen pigmentation.

🔹 Fillers — especially when someone calls saying they simply want their lips done. Seeing the individual’s anatomy, including the vermilion border, helps determine appropriate dosage and technique.

🔹 IPL for sunspots — particularly with naturally darker skin tones, a spot test can help assess how the skin responds before proceeding with treatment.

Every person’s anatomy and skin is different, which is why a proper consultation and assessment matter.

Buddy is a beloved neighborhood cat who has brought comfort and joy to so many people. After Buddy’s owner passed away, the house where they lived was bulldozed, leaving Buddy without the home and stability he once knew. Since then, a kind neighbor in a nearby apartment complex, now in her late 80s, has been doing what she can to look after him. Buddy is welcome inside during the day if he chooses, but he stays outside at night, and sadly she is not in a position physically or financially to provide the level of care Buddy now needs.

During a recent heat wave, Buddy’s health suddenly took a serious turn. He stopped eating, began drinking excessive amounts of water, and lost weight rapidly over the course of about a week and a half. Buddy needs veterinary care as soon as possible, and the costs of appointments, testing, treatment, medication, and any continued care may be more than one person can manage alone. Buddy has become a true pillar of this neighborhood, a familiar and comforting presence who means so much to the people around him. Please consider helping Buddy get the veterinary care and ongoing support he needs. Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, will help keep this special little light in the community shining.

Why This RF Technology Is Different 👀 | Monopolar + Bipolar RF

This RF technology combines monopolar and bipolar radio frequency simultaneously, allowing energy to work at different depths within the skin.

Monopolar RF reaches deeper into the dermis, where it can stimulate fibroblasts involved in collagen and elastin production, while bipolar RF works more superficially and can contribute to an immediate tightening effect.

The immediate effect and the longer-term collagen remodeling are two very different parts of the RF experience.

In this clip from my full Vera deep dive, I break down what makes this RF device different — including its 6.25 MHz operating frequency, multi-polar displacement current technology, stamping treatment method, dynamic impedance system, and built-in temperature safety controls. Radio frequency and laser are two completely different technologies targeting different skin concerns. While fractional lasers like the MimiSilk Iris focus on resurfacing and improving texture, RF is designed to heat deeper tissues to support collagen remodeling and skin tightening.
