I’ve been a fan for nearly four decades, and I’ve known all along that they’ve stayed silent on political issues. But James Hetfield taking a swipe at other entertainers during a concert, saying Metallica isn’t there to influence fans with their “bullshit,” is completely unacceptable.

When I saw S in mid-July, I didn’t know it would be the last time we’d see each other.

She shared how deeply concerned she was about what was happening, and she admired and supported what I’ve been doing.

The past four days have been incredibly heavy. But the reality of everything going on is so fucked up that it won’t even let me mourn her properly.

Continuing to fight for what I believe in and for the people I care about is one way I can honor her precious friendship🙏🏻

Thank you so much to everyone who stood with me at the actions especially since Thursday. I definitely needed good distractions.

Life is short. Life is precious.

This is really heavy…
Right after I shot this photo for a casting, I was told that someone I was very close to passed away last night. I still can’t believe it… She was like my younger sister…
A part of me still thinks I will run into her in our neighborhood…

I invited her to my birthday gathering last month, but she couldn’t make it because she wasn’t feeling well. Her husband, who is also one of my best friends, made it to the party by himself, bringing a wonderful gift that she picked for me. Unfortunately, he had to leave almost immediately.

I never imagined that I would never see her again. She was always there for me whenever I needed help. She was supporting whatever I have done.

In recent years, I’ve become increasingly disturbed by how certain groups of people seem to believe that other people’s lives are worth far less than their own.

Simply FUCK THEM!

Rest in peace, S🙏🏻

I just saw the excellent, powerful documentary American Doctor @americandoctorfilm distributed by @watermelonpictures and I’m still processing it. I was already blown away from the very first scene.

Many and huge thanks to filmmaker and journalist @pohsiteng (my fellow Asian American!), the three doctors @fsidhwa @thaerahmadmd @markperlmuttermd and the first responders in Gaza featured in the film.

I hope many of you will go see it at @dctvny (link in my bio). If you can’t, watch it when it becomes available for streaming.
