my friends made a DOCUMENTARY about me for a competition and it did very well! 🕺🏾

so much love to ben ☯️, beau 🕹️, tess 🎤 and kaff ☕️ for curating a safe space where I could comfortably be myself and talk about my work on camera 🎥 it's actually my first time doing anything like this (countdown aside), and they made it really fun!

they shot and edited everything in a day and I'm still blown away how well it turned out - as were the judges, who think I'm 'an interesting and compelling character' 🌚

there's enough footage for a short netflix docuseries so I'm sure there will be more clips dropping soonish, but for those who didn't know me before, now you do! 🥸

also I don't always sound so 👔, I code switch on camera and haven't worked out how to change it yet 🫤 also also, oui, je suis autiste! :) 🦋 by @j3tsy

yesterday night was a movie!! 🤯💫
📷 @kshray

to everybody who came through to support, and those who were cheering me on from home, thank you from the bottom of my heart 💜🙏🏾

I started my journey as @j3tsy as a way of exploring my creative side, hoping to grow as an artist in a world that can be difficult to navigate at times. 🦋

I started @j3tzine as a passion project showing love and platforming other people trying to do the same. [Updates dropping on there expeditiously, run don't walk!!!] 🏃🏾‍♂️💨

To be able to put on my first ever gig and perform in front of my closest friends and family has been a dream for years, and I feel so blessed and honoured to have seen it manifest 🫶🏾✨

Large up to @morphmob_ldn for helping bring the vision to life 🫡❗

Shout out to the other acts @24hrken , @kshray , @michaelabrahamt , @casparthefriendlygross , and my OG @somecallmewale for bringing the energy and the vibes, only a matter of time before people start catching on !! 🎵📈

To @_anochie , our evening's resident artist, thank you for allowing me the honour of showcasing your work 🧑🏾‍🎨🎨

To @oudh.fragrances , thank you for making sure that everyone smelt amazing in that crowded room 🛍️💆🏾

To my friends who've seen the journey over the last few years, I love you more than words can capture. Through my troughs and moments of self doubt you've picked me up and kept me going. Yesterday was for you 💜🫵🏾

To my sister, 🤝🏾🧞‍♀️

By God's grace, J3TSY is back. Next song drops next Friday, and we aren't stopping there. 👾 taken in Whitechapel, East London by @j3tsy

I love writing, hosting, performing, curating events, seeing artists shine, and live music. Not easy balancing all of those at the same time, but the juice is always worth the squeeze!

Two sold out @sofarstalbans shows, and we're just getting started 🕺🏾💙

surprised by folks with a spoken word set at @sofarstalbans andd created a core memory (+unofficial Sofar debut?)!

I love poetry DOWN and being able to share the stories behind my first pieces with the people who were there with me as I wrote them (back in my stage fright/covid/breakup era 🤓) was a nuts experience - grateful!🕺🏾

swipe for a smile✌🏾

So I took sidequest szn a step too far and made my acting debut - big tick off the bucket list! ✅🕺🏾

Couldn't have asked for a better cast, crew and team to work with on bringing this to life - @taylorddacosta you're a visionary for real 🫡

For those here who've known me since school days (or uni for that matter) I promise the irony of me teaching secondary students is not lost on me all. (I was quite an energetic child in class, shall we say).

The second photo was taken when I was 13, on the day I was awarded a full academic scholarship. It should have been a joyous day, but as the photo suggests, I was struggling and had been for some time. The following year I had to withdraw.

The next years were challenging, but a journey that I wouldn't change for the world. I met the most amazing friends, discovered my passion for the arts, and went on Countdown!

Now, as an adult, I reflect on my teenage years and smile.

Being invited to an SEND school to speak to a class of boisterous year 10s about creativity and self-expression is incredibly full-circle, and God-willing I'll be doing it more!

I told Mum that I was putting on a gig and she asked me if she could perform a poem. Hopefully you'll be able to see where I get it from!

(It was more of a gentle, polite instruction but I'd have said yes anyways ❤️) by @j3tsy

3 years ago, 'proudly british is an anagram of horribly stupid' reached its peak spot on Amazon's bestsellers list.

though I've spoken about the book more generally, I've never quite made it as far as sharing its contents on here.

I wrote this 'stained glass windows' five years ago, but given the current spicy state of Britannia you'd think it was penned last week.
