2023 was full of things that i used to think were unattainable but with God all things are possible. To see Still Good come into its fruition beyond just a thought is something I am still in awe of.

STILL GOOD — A Stillbirth Documentary 🥺

Growing up, my parents would tell you that I had a very low pain tolerance; to the point that even the slightest pain would feel like the end of the world. On a scale from 1-10, most things felt like an 11. When it came to pain, physical or emotional, the word “strong” was never a word to describe me.

When Justin & I got married, my dad said in our wedding speech that I would wait on the sidelines until I was absolutely certain that I was ready to do something. 🤍

I wasn’t ready for this. I wasn’t ready to hear the news at full term that my baby had no heartbeat. I wasn’t ready to birth my baby knowing that I wouldn’t get to take him home. I wasn’t ready to see my husband experience such sorrow holding our lifeless baby. I wasn’t ready to leave the hospital room empty-handed with a lifetime ahead wondering what would have been. I wasn’t ready to tell our baby girls that they wouldn’t get to meet their baby brother. I wasn’t ready to produce milk without a baby to feed. I wasn’t ready…

I wasn’t ready, but I had to do it anyway. There was no waiting on the sideline to prepare for something like this.😢

They say the worst pain in life is childbirth, but I have to disagree. I birthed both my baby girls naturally at home, & it was hard & beautiful & yes, there was physical pain. But the most excruciating pain is giving birth to a baby that I don’t get to raise. 😭

And on a scale from 1-10, this pain doesn’t even register. No physical pain, not even childbirth, comes close to the pain of losing a child.

But I have SO MUCH HOPE. And I am STRONG. 🥲

So what changed? 👇🏽

It comes from a person, and His name is Jesus. When I am weak, HE is strong. Bc of Jesus, I know where I’m going when I die, and I know exactly where my son is right now. I’m so thankful I get to spend ETERNITY with him. At the same time we held our boy, God was holding him too—healed and whole, & in the fullness of HEAVEN. ✨

I hope our story impacts your life & inspires you to live for God. He is REAL. He LOVES you. And He is STILL GOOD. 🤍
