I had graduated from Nova HS that spring, and had a summer waitressing job at Howard Johnson’s Restaurant on A1A in Ft Lauderdale. I remember the little black and white tv on the countertop where, between customers, we would huddle to watch. For that 18 year old, it was an unforgettable experience! We knew how to party back in the 80’s. Here at the Castle, celebrating the resignation of Richard Nixon on this day in 1974, with an all white attire theme, gourmet potluck, mint juleps, and marimba band craziness.. by @ja_engle

Precious time spent with dear friend, JoAnne Bondy, who stopped here in Boise on her cross country victory lap, after beating cancer!! We hadn’t seen each other since high school in Florida, over 50 years ago. Omg, we laughed, cried, and I swear, didn’t stop talking for 4 days! What a beautiful woman, so full of love and joy, so awake to the miracles of life. I’m grateful for you, JoAnnie!! by @ja_engle

Shout out today to my son, Matthew, who just aired his last show for KRBX Radio Boise! More than 3 years of presenting past and current selections from a variety of genres, including jazz, my personal fave. You can hear more than 200 hours of his curated music on Spotify- just enter “Vibe Archive”! Congrats, Matt, I’m so proud of you!! by @ja_engle
