Jack Mid — An Inner Journey

After a psychedelic experience shattered his sense of reality at 19, Portuguese artist @jack__mid
spent years navigating panic, trauma, and dissociation. At 25, he speaks with raw clarity to ZOOT about survival, self-forgiveness, and transforming inner chaos into music and image.

“In my mind, I had damaged my brain for good — like I’d looked behind the curtain out of pure curiosity and was cursed to live with it at only 19. I needed medication. I went through intense therapy. Healing isn’t linear. I will coexist with this for the rest of my life — like a scar. And I’m at peace with that. […] Music became my ultimate medicine.”
— Jack Mid

✨ Explore the full editorial and the interview with Jack Mid revealing his journey at the link in bio / ZOOT Shoots or at www.zootmagazine.com ✨
