None of us gets through life without walking through the fire.

The charred earth represents our shared human experience. The blessing packets hold handwritten prayers, and the rusted fragments are objects worn by time, each carrying a history before becoming part of something new.

Landscape of Blessings.

It is with a full heart that I introduce Landscape of Blessings through this beautiful short film by Jack Flame Sorokin.

Jack came to Austin a few months ago to help me tell the story behind this body of work. We first met more than ten years ago on a photoshoot, and I still remember asking him what he loved most. His answer was simple: portraits and telling people's stories.

Over the years, I followed his work and watched him create films that were thoughtful, honest, and deeply human. I always had a feeling our paths would cross again in a meaningful way.

When friends asked how the filming went, I found myself talking less about the film and more about the gift of the experience itself.

The conversations, the inquiry, the connection, and Jack's openhearted approach created something meaningful long before the video ever existed. The experience felt less like being interviewed and more like being witnessed. It was a rare gift.

Thank you, Jack, for helping me tell this story with such care.

I look forward to sharing these tapestries and the stories behind them in the weeks ahead. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed creating them.

Big love to all. ❤️
