The Stevie’s award is a BIG deal. It’s like the Oscars, Tony or Grammys but for businesses around the world. God is so good. I am very proud of myself. Most importantly, I am so grateful for my support system especially - my best friend, biggest fan, anchor ⚓️, and advisor Dan ♾️ by @jackie.dela

This is a BIG deal. I am grateful 🥹 and humbled. To be nominated and to be recognized amongst hundreds of incredible women globally is such an honor. Couldn’t get to this point in my career without my family and friends. Thank you God. #blackwomeninbusiness #softlife #womenleadership #ghana #luxurylifestyle by @jackie.dela

1. The Gentle Reminder
“I’m glad the idea resonated. I’d love to share how I developed it.”

2. The Professional Correction
“Just to clarify, I led this initiative, and I’m happy to walk everyone through the work.”

3. The Elegant Boundary
“Moving forward, I’d appreciate receiving appropriate recognition for my contributions.”

✨ Remember: You can be gracious without allowing your contributions to go unrecognized.

Things I find incredibly chic: women who vote, stay informed, and are politically engaged. ✨

There’s something powerful about a woman who is curious about the world beyond her own, understands the issues, and uses her voice.

Being informed is chic. Being engaged is chic. Having a voice and using it? Incredibly chic. 🤍

What’s in my makeup bag? 💄✨

A little luxury, a few everyday beauty essentials, and some tried-and-true favorites! From high-end beauty to drugstore gems, I love a good mix of both. 🤎

Featuring favorites from @charlottetilbury, @covergirl, @clinique, and @nyxcosmetics.

What’s one makeup product you absolutely cannot live without? 💕

As a Chief Legal Officer, I spend a lot of time advising and coaching executives on leadership. But every week, I step onto a soccer field with a group of six-year-olds, and somehow, I always walk away having learned something myself. ⚽️❤️

Beyond the humility they teach me, these little girls remind me to:

✨ Celebrate the little wins.
✨ Make mistakes, shake them off, and try again.
✨ Believe in each other and work as a team.
✨ Lead with kindness and encouragement.
✨ And most importantly, never forget to have fun!

Sometimes our greatest leadership lessons come from the littlest people. ❤️

I travel quite a bit for work, and I love incorporating a little luxury into my travels. 🤎 My Louis Vuitton Pégase 55 has been part of my collection for over 10 years! Sharing what I love about it, what I don’t, and whether luxury luggage is really worth the investment.

Would you splurge on designer luggage?

A few little things that bring me joy. 🤍✨

A touch of a whimsical swan trinket to hold my jewelry, and a beautiful hairpin from my mom for my wedding.

Some things are beautiful, others are sentimental, and the very best are both.

A little reminder to surround yourself with things that make you smile and bring you joy 🦢🌸

When did saying thank you become optional? 💌

Call me old-fashioned, but I believe a thoughtful thank-you note never goes out of style. Especially after a job interview! Gratitude is more than good manners. It shows professionalism, thoughtfulness, and good judgment.

I still carry handwritten thank-you cards with me. It’s the little things that make a lasting impression. 🤍
✨
A little elegance from @jomalonelondon 🌸

What do you think? Are thank-you notes after interviews still important, or are they becoming a lost art?

⚖️ THE LEGAL EDIT

Are some of our pastors failing women going through separation and divorce?

I’m a woman of faith, but I firmly believe that advocating for your legal rights is not selfish, ungodly, or a lack of faith.

You can forgive someone without forfeiting what you’re legally entitled to.

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Where should we draw the line between spiritual guidance and legal advice?

Because setting boundaries can be done with class and a little spice. 🥂

1. Polite but firm: “I appreciate your input, but let’s not confuse collaboration with authority.”
2. A little spicy: “I think there may be some confusion about our respective roles.”
3. Elegantly direct: “I’m always open to suggestions, but let’s be clear about who owns this decision.”

Remember, you can be respectful without being submissive.

Which one would you use? 👀 #ExecutivePresence #WorkplaceBoundaries #CorporateLife #leadershiptips by @jackie.dela
