Chicana, Organizer & Activist-leading, teaching and serving the SGV through numerous mutual aid efforts & community response initiatives since 2012

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This year isn’t even over yet, and look at what we’ve done together 💛
Here’s your mutual aid wrapped, made possible by your support of Operation Healthy Hearts.

At the beginning of the year, devastating fires destroyed the homes of hundreds of hard-working families. We showed up for Altadena and Pasadena with hot meals, pet food, baby supplies, and even motel stays for displaced families—made possible through community crowdfunding.

When the ICE raids began, we mobilized fast—creating safety kits for people exercising their First Amendment right to peacefully protest. That work led to national attention, including Fox 11 and the New York Post criticizing our efforts. The harassment was intense and personal. No regrets. We keep us safe.

We built and led organized food delivery systems for neighbors struggling under so many different circumstances.

We hosted and led KYR events, helped organize canvassing efforts, and created spaces for education and protection—bc community care is safety.

We hosted countless swaps and celebrated two community birthdays. We supported a middle school in Downey with toys, school supplies and basic necessities like hair cuts & hygiene items.

We held mutual aid events all across the SGV—at Matilija Lending Library, Monrovia Underdog Library, weekly at the LGBTQ Center—feeding an average of 100 families of 4 every single week, while also connecting people to vital resources like EBT phones, insurance, and more.

We were honored with a Freshy Community Award for Power & Partnerships from CalFresh.

We hosted a Thanksgiving Day event distributing 200, 18 lb turkeys & full holiday support to families across the SGV w @kimberlykescandon

& we closed out with a toy drive—distributing toys and hams alongside Carla from Pickup Party and Ed :,)—supporting over 100 families.

What will we do next year?!
Honestly… there’s so much more I couldn’t even fit into photos.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this work over the last 12 years. Thank you for rallying behind me, for taking inspiration from this work and duplicating it in your own communities, and for advocating alongside me.

2025 was a crazy year & we did it together. 💛 by @jackieforsgv

Will also be broadcasted LIVE, here.

at no point of this event will we be telling you who to vote for, this is purely informational, and a HOW TO, based in community.

We’ll talk about the candidates, even research some on the spot, but ultimately your vote is up to you! by @jackieforsgv

For the holidays!! 😌❤️‍🩹

Look it’s highly unlikely everyone will. Typically we struggle to get past $150 every week, but we do our best! And you can see those efforts come to fruition through the posts we make of us bagging and distributing all said items by @jackieforsgv

Thank you to the friends who ask me how I am… and mean it.

Thankful for the people who check on me when I’ve been quiet, those people who show community is not a performance.

Thank you to the friends who stay and listen and don’t run away when I tell the truth about how I’m feeling.

Thankful for people who care and for people who refuse to stay silent by @jackieforsgv
