'Introducing Jackie Gritness' is releasing today. 🎵

Nobody knows me - yet it's time to shamelessly slut my first real House record out on the internet - not like it's the first time I'm slutting anything out online. 😇

It's got 12 inches, 2 sides, a textile-inspired screenprinted sleeve, hand-stamped personal facial attributes, killer mastering, and it's HOT PINK. 💅
(Well, 30 of 'em are.)

It has serious wall-shaking beats and sleazy - yet freely interpretable enough words.

I'm extra proud of how Randy & Alaia from @cqqlrecords went all the way with it.

It's mostly inspired by the early Sound Factory vibes, but since I was 3 years old when that joint was happenin', it's probably a terrible version of it - yet I'm having so much fun doing it and, considering the wonderful support I've been humbled by during pre-release, it seems people are having fun playing it as well.

It's how this bitch truly feels about House. ✊

It took me long enough to fearlessy embody that aforementioned bitch - now she's publicly spinnin' on pink plastic. 👠

Thanks to the whole @thenycdownlow crew for unlocking my optimal plastic spinning capacity through their life-changing atmosphere. 🫂

OK - I need sleep - thank you if y'all still readin'. 🙏

Cop it if you dig it.

Luv,

J 💋 by @jackiegritness

PREMIERE: Jackie Gritness - Fuc U Talmbout (Vicious Verbal Vers Mix) (CQQL Records)

There’s this feeling that House Music is sometimes diluted into a pleasant, non-offensive and conformist formula. Well, Jackie Gritness - you may have heard of her big bro Gary - is bringin’ all the sweat, the attitude and the filth down - take it or leave it.

Jackie introduces herself from both sides on this well strapped debut 12” - the slick swingin’ & sangin’ on the bass heavy A side, and the raw clave trax and cunty snarls of the acid-laced B side.

No trace of over-production or tired sampling here: this is just Jackie, her mic and her lil’ groovebox - gettin’ raw in the studio just like she does onstage.

Only thing added is some wall-shaking mastering by New York OG Dietrich Schoenemann. This is the kinda House that’s supposed to make regular folks wanna turn it off. This ain’t rated E for Everyone, it’s rated F for Freaks. It’s music from the underground, for the underground - as it was first revealed on the runway of Glastonbury’s infamous NYC Downlow last summer.

And if that’s more than you can take - it’s alright. It’s not like Jackie will hold it against you.

"Gonna take U higher & higher" ✈️

This here is @heidilawden liftin the box up with the vocal mix of "Natural High" - always a special moment
when you see that a tune you sang on is gettin' folks in the zone. 🪩

Well, if y'all wanna check it out - I'm happy to say @why_people_dance is runnin' the premiere for this one -
and I guess considering their channel's name, what's happening on this video is a pretty fittin'.💃

I've been kinda chillin' since I told y'all I got this new project out.
Just kickin' back - and wondering wether DJ's would dig the record as the promos where handed out. 👀

Well, I gotta say the initial reactions have been very humbling - it seems this honest gurl's vision of House
has found its way onto quite a few USB sticks and is already enjoying radio & club play - mad thanks for that. 🙏

Y'all know who you are - but I'll just mention @djaaronpaar rockin' that vocal on his Dublab show was very special for me - as Teflon Don's Planet Eater is one of my favorite underground House records. ✊

One last thing: Aside from the obvious Sly nod, this tune is about the fact you can get really high in many differents ways with no external substances - and maybe I'll talk a bit more next week about that 😏

"I'm gonna take you on a natural high
You don't have to do anything at all" 💋

There's this feeling that House Music is sometimes diluted into a pleasant, non-offensive and conformist formula.

Well, Jackie Gritness - you may have heard of her big bro Gary @garygritness - is bringin' all the sweat, the attitude and the filth down - take it or leave it. 👢

Jackie introduces herself from both sides on this well-strapped debut 12" on Los Angeles's finest @cqqlrecords -- for now, dig the slick swingin' & sangin' on the bass-heavy A side. 🎙️

Don't sleep on this one - and stay tuned for more of J 💅

Feeling so truly privileged to be invited to @glastofest's and @block9official's mythical @thenycdownlow.

I will never forget the first time I entered that room in 2017. The sheer feeling of it was undescribable - but I can still feel it in my bones. 🦴

I couldn't dream of a better place to do my thing for the first time and I'm truly humbled by the trust that has been put in me through this invitation. 🙏

I'm ready to turn this mf out 💅

See y'all there 🫡 by @jackiegritness

'At 12 midnight I will be here 4 u
So don't forget what u have 2 do' 💅

.
.
.

His studio musician resume reads like
a House music who's who - from David Morales to Fred P.

He's also been rockin' clubs with
the Playin' 4 The City and MLIU crews.

You might also have heard of his big brother's hard-hittin' electro cuts.

But this bitch's feelings about House are stripped-down, bare-bones,
and unapologetically sexual.

Time for some realness. by @jackiegritness
