There’s this feeling that House Music is sometimes diluted into a pleasant, non-offensive and conformist formula. Well, Jackie Gritness - you may have heard of her big bro Gary - is bringin’ all the sweat, the attitude and the filth down - take it or leave it.Jackie introduces herself from both sides on this well-strapped debut 12” - the slick swingin’ & sangin’on the bass-heavy A side, and the raw clave trax and cunty snarls of the acid-laced B side.No trace of over-production or tired sampling here: this is just Jackie, her mic and her lil’ groovebox -gettin’ raw in the studio just like she does onstage. Only thing added is some wall-shaking mastering by New York OG Dietrich Schoenemann. This is the kinda House that’s supposed to make regular folks wanna turn it off. This ain’t rated E for Everyone, it’s rated F for Freaks. It’s music from the underground, for the underground - as it was first revealed on the runway of Glastonbury’s infamous NYC Downlow last summer. And if that’s more than you can take - it’s alright. It’s not like Jackie will hold it against you.Jackie Gritness“Gary’s little sister.” His studio session resume reads like a House music who’s who - from David Morales to Fred P. He’s also been rockin’ clubs with the Playin’ 4 The City and MLIU crews - but she’s also been seen on Gideon’s fierce Homo-Centric Records. See, this bitch’s true feelings about House are stripped-down, bare-bones, and unapologetically sexual. With a radical ‘live’ attitude, she’s serving the realness with an irresistibly acidic zing.

As Shakespeare very nearly wrote, "Some are born Grit, some achieve Gritness and others have Gritness thrust upon them" - welcome to the outrageous house sound of Jackie Gritness

PREMIERE: Jackie Gritness - Fuc U Talmbout (Vicious Verbal Vers Mix) (CQQL Records)

There’s this feeling that House Music is sometimes diluted into a pleasant, non-offensive and conformist formula. Well, Jackie Gritness - you may have heard of her big bro Gary - is bringin’ all the sweat, the attitude and the filth down - take it or leave it.

Jackie introduces herself from both sides on this well strapped debut 12” - the slick swingin’ & sangin’ on the bass heavy A side, and the raw clave trax and cunty snarls of the acid-laced B side.

No trace of over-production or tired sampling here: this is just Jackie, her mic and her lil’ groovebox - gettin’ raw in the studio just like she does onstage.

It’s not like Jackie will hold it against you.

March's RBV show is now up for listen back. On a bit of a chuggy and housier tip this month with loads of amazing new music from the likes of Giovanni Damico, North 90, Limpodisco, Axel Boman and more. There's also a sneaky lil' OOFT! demo in there too 😉 Listen link is up in that bio

ANOTHER swish guest and ANOTHER swish selection last Saturday on @nts_radio

Loved having @earljeffers on with a brilliant mixx surrounded by lots of new stuff from @genagenagenaaaaaaa @apronrecords @kmfh313 @thisismoonchild and more.

It’s all over on the NTS app and website etc. A spring vibed session I think

oh, and by the way it’s really important to give a big shout out to all the NTS supporters out there. You may not realise but having so many dedicated supporters of the station keeps all the music flowing, the parties and everything else. Sponsors are lovely but supporters are the bedrock imo. It’s a big part of supporting independent music and independent artists and we appreciate you ❤️

Link on the NTS site if you wanna get involved x

The new Amber Muse Radio episode is now online. This one leans deep into house with character and texture — from the raw underground energy of Jackie Gritness and the warm piano touch of Space Ghost, to dancefloor-ready cuts by Jimpster, Loz Track, and a timeless track from Alex Neri. You’ll also hear fresh material from the fabric Selects VI compilation — groovy, detailed, and very much on point.
During the show, we also announced our first Amber Muse guest night of the spring: May 15 in Riga. Save the date.
The second hour features a guest mix by Rabenau — dark disco-leaning, with strong atmosphere and movement.
Tune in if you’re into music with shape, mood, and intent: Amber Muse website, Apple podcasts, and YouTube.
