Joy in the process.

There is no result, outcome, pace or power that will bring you long term enjoyment. The joy is in the everyday. Waking up and working toward becoming the best version of yourself. That’s it. The reward is happening everyday.

Finished Kona today ✅ Which if you were here, you know is not an easy feat 😳 I executed the best I could and it feels like a win because Mark and the kids support me through it all 🥰. I didn’t finish in the place I wanted, or the times, but Hunter did remind me I was 21st in the whole world today so I should be proud. ☺️
And so I will be.

Huge congratulations to everyone who took on this brutal challenge- whether you made it to that finish or not, just remember, none of it defines you!!
.
Women’s racing is insane, unpredictable and so packed with talent right now. I’m in awe. Can’t wait to do some pods!!! @thewomensracepod
.
Lastly- huge thanks to everyone on course racing and spectating- I heard so many cheers!! And of course also from those at home. I did my best to represent

More on the race and everything else will come. But for now it’ll be nice to relax and enjoy our last few days here! ❤️

I am getting ready to give it my absolute ALL this Saturday. For the moms, for the 40+ and for the women who refuse to give up, give in, or be doubted. Let’s go make ourselves proud out there!! 🫡👊

One week out 🌺 Kona is here 🚀

After all the miles, early 🏊‍♀️ mornings and long days, it’s pretty special to be here again.
.
I’m proud of the work it took to get here, especially as a mom, with a busy life and plenty of reasons to make excuses. I hope my kids (and other moms 🤝) see that you can keep chasing big goals at any age (helllooo 40’s!!), that hard things are worth doing, and that you don’t have to quit when things get difficult!!
.
I’m trying to slow down and enjoy it now. Take in the energy, the ocean, the people and all the little moments that make this place so special. ☀️ 🌊

But I also know what’s coming. When it’s time to race, I’m ready to go deep 🫡

The race is one day. The journey is so much more.

Grateful to be here. Ready for what’s ahead 😤
