21st woman. Fastest mom in Kona. 🌺 (because some reframing always helps!)

Some days in Kona you race your competitors, the clock, the heat, the wind. This year I raced all of that with two little cheerleaders in my head and a whole lot of Team Hering heart.

Being a mom doesn’t mean you do less. It means you do it all, and then you go do 140.6 miles on top of it. 💗
.
To my kids: thank you for making me brave. To every mom chasing something big between school pickups and early alarms: keep going. You’re making more of an impact than you think!! (No matter how fast or slow you are!!)

Swims, bike rides, runs, and SO MANY FRIENDS!!

Okay, well really I did 1 swim and 1 bike ride LOL. But I did run a few times! Probably not enough considering I have the NYC Marathon in a fews weeks 🫠

BUT ANYWAY! What a week. Thank god I wasn't racing because I was absolutely exhausted by race day. There were so many fun events and cool opportunities. And so many meetups with old friends and new ones too!

Kona, you were an absolute blast and I hope I get to come back again! (Not to race) 🏝️ HUGE shoutout and thank you to @gozwift for sending me. What an absolutely dream!!!!!!

Happy Ironman day!!! Cheering on @tri_barry @tribramily @iam.rebekah.walker and @jackiemhering and loved every minute of it. Spent 4 hour shirt volunteering by escorting professionals yesterday and then catching their bikes today. Yup , caught the 8th place men’s bike @kristianblu and 3rd place @juliederron . What a fun day!!!

What a privilege to watch the women’s race in real life 💛

I’ve watched countless races online, listened to the girlys podcasts and watched their content completely inspired

Seeing them ride past me in real life was something else. Something I’ll never forget and something I want on my feed forever hehe
