Extremely proud of this culture and what it has become

A theme for the season was to control what you can control.

That reminder helps you focus on what is actually important with the highest level of impact.

No matter what happened we adapt and move. Results spoke for themselves.

This team embodies the pursuit of excellence every day. by @jacklitt1e

To sharpen a skill you don’t need to only do it over and over again but rather do it in as many different ways as possible.

If we are the average of everything that we do than the wider net that we cast the more opportunities we have to succeed.

So trying new things and refining old things are crucial ways of developing an athlete.

And to truly have a breakthrough means I have to take an athlete out of their old ways. Doing that through drastic changes always gets me the best result. taken in Mona Plummer Aquatic Center by @jacklitt1e

Double max speed day! This is derived from the Norwegian double threshold model where the goal is to maximize volume at a specific intensity. At ASU, we do this for max speed development.

Coaches should think of both sessions as one big workout. At ASU, we like to base PM session off results from AM the workout while trying to incorporate electronic timing as much as possible. Results should be tracked over the course of a season to monitor fatigue and understand adaptation to training. It’s also really fun 😈🔱. taken in Mona Plummer Aquatic Center by @jacklitt1e
