Two weeks in Paris and not one single crepe. Just lots of walking, dancing, art, kilo shops, and fun. 💕 #jacklucyday #Paris #bestfriends #vintage @restaurantderriere #royalushmusic taken in Paris, France by @jacklucyday

My first feature in Interpubliq Magazine is out and I am so grateful.
This one goes deep. The stories that brought me to humanitarian photography in the first place — a refugee camp in Kosovo, a young girl in the Congo whose dried tears I didn’t notice until weeks later in the edit, women carrying water in the Kasais, communities I met in Laos, Burma, and beyond. The moments that made me who I am as a documentary photographer.
If you’ve ever wondered why a former Hollywood actress ended up spending twenty years photographing human rights stories in some of the most remote corners of the world — this is your answer.
Link in bio. 📷🙏

We came for the art.

We stayed for the conversations, the dancing, the old friends and the new ones.

Thank you, Raffi, for a beautiful show and a beautiful reminder that art isn’t just something you look at.

It’s something that brings people together.

And that’s our favorite kind of masterpiece. #jacklucy #LosAngelesArt #60sLove #MeetTheArtist #SayYesMore taken in West Hollywood, California by @jacklucyday

Nothing better than reconnecting with an old friend. @enricomastracchimanes and I met when we were in our early 20s just trying to figure out life. He went on to be a successful filmmaker and I went on to do all kinds of things I never dreamed possible back then. It’s pretty cool to think that there was a time when we had no idea what was ahead and that it would be so amazing! We tried to copy the same pose from the vintage photo of us on the beach. #80’s #santamonicacollege 🥰 taken in West Hollywood, California by @jacklucyday

Beverly Hills Film Festival last night.
Performance Review on screen, DP Duncan O’Bryan, whose work brought a beautiful quiet precision to the film.

Painted field notes: Burma. Like so many people from an older generation in Burmese culture, this couple posed for me as if they were in a police line up, so it was pure magic when I was able to make her laugh and even better when she reached for his hand in an unusual display of public affection.
