“Family” “fam” that’s what we were. 22 years. Jim we met in 5th grade at OLOG tryouts when I saw someone dribble a basketball through their legs and I whispered to my dad “did you see that through the legs he’s gotta make the team” and since then we were family. You were my third sibling, my best friend, and everything anyone could’ve asked for in a friend. The nicest, most fun, and loyal person you’ll ever meet. This doesn’t even feel real and I, as well as everyone else already misses you so much. From all the sleepovers in the basements, rap battles with my brother and sister, madden games against my dad yelling at each other about who cheated in the game this time and sitting in the kitchen making my mom laugh while she would make “whatever James wants to eat.” I’m going to miss every part of it. From watching you run all over every team we played and taking the court together for years. This is one of the hardest days, if not the hardest day of my life and I will never forget you. I have been procrastinating this for a while now but here we go. Lacrosse and sports have played such a huge part in my life from a very young age and unfortunately all of that has come to an end. I’ve learned so many life lessons from this game and sports as whole that I will carry with me forever that I believe can’t be learned anywhere else. I’ve made so many great relationships and I thank all of my teammates and coaches for making my experience with lacrosse the best one possible. Thank you to my parents for always being there and taking me anywhere I needed go to no matter how far to play the game I love and for always pushing me to be the best that I could. Thank you to my brother and sister for sacrificing their time to come to games and tournaments so I can play lacrosse in college. Thank you to @mdplacrossetraining for mentoring on my journey with this game. Lacrosse will always hold such a special place in my heart. It lead me to some of my best friends in the world and gave me some of the best memories that will last a lifetime. I’m going to miss everything sports has to offer whether it’s the early morning grind, game days with the team or just even hanging out in the locker room with everybody.
