Adelaide audiences react to Logan St, presented by State Theatre Company and playing at the Space Theatre until August 8. Some found the experimental structure challenging. Most described the play as moving, and powerful. "Astounding", "A super play" "Beautifully presented" "It made me quite emotional." "Incredible." Before the lights come up tonight, I wanted to spend some time on Logan Street walking the same ground my ancestors once walked. Standing where they stood. Listening for the echoes that still live in this place.

This story began with family memories, but it grew through the footsteps of those who came before us. Returning here to pay my respects and acknowledge that Country holds stories long after people are gone.

I’m grateful to be sharing this moment with my husband Stephen, who has walked beside me through every stage of bringing Logan St to life. Some journeys are made together.

Tonight, we open Logan St and I hope I do you all proud. ❤️
