⚔️Ironman WI 2026: Round 2⚔️

I knew at the finish line last year that I’d sign up again. The last 2 years of work has felt both rewarding and exhausting in the best ways. I’m primarily a self coached athlete, so navigating the best ways to stay focused and learn this distance has been a journey.

I was able to walk away with a new PR of 12:50 (-1:34:03 from 2025). I’m in love with this race and everything it gives to me. Training is all an exercise in self love, and competition is the test to see just how much you’ve loved yourself.

The endless support from my friends, family, and tri community is overwhelming and what’s keeps me going.

I’m not sure when I’ll return to this distance. But IM Wisconsin, you’re sure something special. taken in Madison, Wisconsin by @jacobdbach

🇺🇸 Triathlon Nationals 2026- Olympic Distance 🇺🇸

First time competing in anything at a national level. It’s funny being on this side of it, use to the coach’s’ lane.

Crossed the finish line proud of my effort and happy with my result. Set a new Olympic distance PR by 4.15min. It felt like all my training came together perfectly and gave me the most that I’m capable of this season. There’s so much growth to be had and I’m excited to get to work on it.

Best part was being in my hometown. I don’t think I went longer than 10mins without seeing someone cheering for me all over the city. That truly was the best part. Thank you to my family, friends, and athletes for the never ending support.

🖤⚔️ Ironman Wisconsin 2025⚔️🖤

I’m not sure the words to use to sum up the last year leading to this event… I went into this looking for something, and I found more than I asked for.

There are moments and lessons I will keep private. There are others I will always share: importance of goal setting, truly finding the border of your breaking point, what dedication means.

The biggest thing though, is that I learned how truly loved I am. This was never a solo endeavor. Having my friends, family, former athletes, families of athletes, strangers, and volunteers helping keep me going every step was something I’ll never be able to comprehend. The literal 100+ people texting me post-race, who followed my tracker…

A special thanks to my training partner @christopherducanto, coach @liznoey, my sons @ryanbernauer03 @theo_m0zz0 @raidenvoght @caleb_artman_ @parkerdclair, @libby823 for supplying the bike and mentorship…

@bennett_mcfresh who inspired, checked in on, and switched coach-athlete roles with me. A relationship too special to sum in an insta post.

Above all, my parents… I don’t know how I got so lucky to have them as my biggest support through every moment.
