Three years ago, I moved to TX knowing no one, leaving behind everything familiar and learning how to navigate a completely different culture. What started as a step into the unknown became one of the most transformative chapters of my life. I came here for PT school, but I’m leaving with much more than a degree.

I’m incredibly grateful for the people I met along the way who made an unfamiliar place feel more like home, and for my family and friends back in Hawaiʻi who never let the distance feel too far, especially on the days when homesickness hit the hardest. These three years challenged me, shaped me, and taught me more about myself than I ever expected. The degree represents what I accomplished, but the person I became along the way is what I’m most proud of. 🤍 by @jadelynfernando
