Thank you, Oakwood.

To the students of Oakwood University, thank you for trusting me. The position of United Student Movement President is a responsibility I do not take lightly, and I am committed to serving you with purpose, intention, integrity, and most importantly, obedience to God.

To my friends, supporters, and everyone who stood with me throughout this journey, thank you for your belief, your encouragement, and your constant push for me to strive for excellence. You reminded me that leadership is not a choice, but a calling.

To God, thank you for guiding me every step of the way, for being my anchor and my direction. None of this happens without You, and I’m excited to continue being in Your service, while being a friend to man.

To everyone who made this election what it was, thank you. To Avery and Matthew, thank you for your effort, your leadership, and the way you represented yourselves throughout this process. I’m looking forward to how God continues to use you both.

Oakwood has a rich history, and by strengthening our community, improving communication, and deepening connections across campus, we will plant the seeds that carry us forward.

57 years ago, my grandfather was blessed to served as USM President. 31 years ago, my father did the same. Today, I have the opportunity to continue that legacy, but more importantly, to continue faithfully serving this campus in the way I’ve been called to.
 This moment means a lot to me, but it is not about yesterday - it is about what we build next, together.

Students of Oakwood University,

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude. First and foremost, I want to thank God for allowing me to reach this position, for showing me the path He wants me to follow, and being my guide along every step of the way.

I also want to thank my friends and family for their unwavering support, even when it wasn’t easy. Your encouragement and belief in me were essential, and I am truly grateful for the way you all stood by me and lifted me up.

And, last but certainly not least, I want to thank each of you, the students of Oakwood University. Without your trust and support, this would not have been possible. I am honored that you have placed your faith in me to create change as your USM Parliamentarian, and I am committed to ensuring that I do not let you down.

Thank you all once again, and let’s continue to build a brighter tomorrow, together.
