Built on legacy. United by purpose.

Two HBCUs, one shared vision. Oakwood University USM President Jaden McCottry and Alabama A&M SGA President Zachary Cooper are coming together to strengthen relationships, build community, and show what collaboration across HBCUs looks like.

When HBCUs support one another, our students, our campuses, and our future all grow stronger.

✨ Hey y’all, it’s ya girl Summer, aka Chef Theeede! 👩🏾‍🍳💛

I’m beyond excited and incredibly grateful to be competing in the Fav Chef competition! Every meal I’ve created, every lesson I’ve learned, and every person who has supported my journey has helped bring me to this moment.

Cooking has always been my love language. I pour my heart into every dish, and being recognized for doing what I love is truly a blessing.

Thank you for every vote, share, prayer, and word of encouragement. Your support means more than you know. Let’s keep pushing, keep dreaming, and keep cooking with intention. ✨🏆

With a grateful heart and a whisk in hand, let’s do this! This is the link for tomorrow June 1st voting starts at 10am sharp!!

Just a little 2025 recap before we turn the page.

January: Started the year back in California, grounded and ready for whatever came my way.

February: Entered an online dance competition and got eliminated right before finals. Tough, but still proud of myself for putting myself out there.

March: Went to Las Vegas for the first time and I have been like 3 more times since then.

April: Did what I love most, dancing at the La Sierra University Alumni Weekend Basketball Game halftime show.

May: Ran for Executive Vice President of SALSU. Even after serving as Social VP, I knew I wanted to continue serving the student body in a bigger way.

June: Flew back to Florida to reset and recharge before the new school year.

July: Spent time with family and gave myself a much-needed mental break.

August: Turned 20 and started coming to terms with officially leaving my teenage years behind.

September: Returned to California as EVP of SALSU, stepping into junior year surrounded by nothing but supportive friends.

October: Traveled to DC for the AIA Conference and made both new memories and new connections.

November: Saw the Jonas Brothers in concert (again). They were so good the first time, I had to do it twice.

December: Focusing on growth and preparing myself for what 2026 has in store.

I just want to thank everyone who was an instrumental part of my life this year and I hope that this new year treats us all well. ❤️
