한양대학교 ERICA 건축학부 건축매체·제작연구실(DPAS)의 공식 홈페이지를 개설했습니다.

지난 5년여간 진행해 온 건축설계 교육의 커리큘럼과 선별된 학생 작업, 그리고 저의 연구와 프로젝트를 한곳에 정리했습니다. 각각의 결과뿐 아니라 작업이 발전해 온 과정과 그 배경이 된 교육적 고민도 함께 아카이빙하고자 했습니다.

이 홈페이지를 통해 제가 앞으로 이어가고 싶은 건축 교육의 방향과 새로운 시도들을 차분히 써 내려가려 합니다. 수업과 연구가 축적되는 과정에 따라 콘텐츠도 지속적으로 업데이트할 예정입니다.

The website brings together approximately five years of architectural design curricula, selected student works, and my own research and projects. Beyond presenting completed outcomes, it aims to archive the processes through which the work has developed, along with the educational questions and intentions behind it.

Through this platform, I hope to gradually articulate the kind of architectural education I wish to pursue and document the experiments and developments that emerge along the way. The archive will be updated regularly as my teaching and research continue to evolve.

Today’s Floor Plan

1971년 연초제조창의 9m 콘크리트 격자와 2021년 문화공간으로 재생되며 더해진 1.5m 목재 격자 아래, 시민의 움직임으로 그려지는 세 번째 레이어를 제안한다. 커튼을 밀고 당기며 만들어진 공간의 궤적은 그날의 ‘오늘의 평면’으로 기록된다.

Beneath the 9-meter concrete grid of the 1971 tobacco factory and the 1.5-meter timber grid added during its transformation in 2021, the project introduces a third layer drawn by people. The paths created as they move the curtains are recorded as the “plan of the day.” by @jaebong_ss2

다채로운 이벤트, 하나의 움직이는 건축
Multiple Events, One Moving Architecture

움직이는 커튼은 같은 회랑을 야외 영화관, 함께 그림을 남기는 캔버스, 도시를 바라보는 프레임, 어린이 건축 워크숍의 공간으로 바꾼다. 이벤트마다 커튼의 배치와 평면이 달라지며, 시민의 활동과 상상에 따라 하나의 공간이 계속 새롭게 해석된다.

The moving curtains transform the same arcade into an outdoor cinema, a shared drawing canvas, a frame for viewing the city, or a space for children’s architecture workshops. Each event creates a different arrangement and plan, allowing people to continually reinterpret the space through their activities and imagination. by @jaebong_ss2

매일 다시 그려지는 공공공간
A Public Space Redrawn Every Day

〈오늘의 평면〉은 공간을 하나의 고정된 형태로 완성하는 대신, 시민이 계속 만들고 기록하는 열린 시스템을 제안한다. 천장 레일과 움직이는 커튼, 데이터 기반 아카이브가 결합되어 놀이, 휴식, 영화, 시장과 새로운 만남을 수용하는 살아 있는 공공공간이 된다.

Today’s Plan does not complete the space as a fixed form. By combining ceiling rails, movable curtains, and a data-based archive, it creates an open system that people continually make, record, and reinterpret—a living public space for play, rest, film, markets, and new forms of gathering. by @jaebong_ss2

청계유석, 그 후

청계유석의 잔여물은 기념품으로 다시 쓰였습니다. 청계유석 조각과 레진으로 제작된 키링은 ‘돌 이름 짓기’ 이벤트에 참여해준 36명의 시민에게 나누어 전달되었습니다.

Some remnants of Cheonggye Yu-seok were repurposed as keepsakes. Key rings made from fragments of Cheonggye Yu-seok combined with resin
were shared with the 36 citizens
who participated in the “Stone Naming” event.

청계유석, 그 후

청계유석은 설치와 해체를 하나의 건축적 순환으로 상정한 프로젝트였습니다. 재생 알루미늄은 다시 물질의 순환으로 돌아가고, 청계천은 아무런 흔적 없이 흐름을 이어갑니다.

남는 것은 구조가 아니라 경험, 결과물이 아니라 과정입니다.

Cheonggye Yu-seok, After

Cheonggye Yu-seok was conceived as an architectural cycle, from installation to dismantling. The recycled aluminum returns to material circulation, while the Cheonggyecheon continues to flow without leaving a trace.

What remains is not a structure,
but an experience — not a result, but a process.
