Calypso anchored at “Lisa’s Beach Anchorage”, Vava’u, Tonga. Definitely a favorite in Tonga so far. Nestled next to a jungle cliff. Fruit bats roosting in a tree behind us. Lots of songbirds waking us in the morning twilight. Buying produce directly from the farm up the hill behind us. Cooler weather. Actually broke out à blanket for the bed… and jeans… and fleeces… and my lambs wool slippers/sea boots 😂

Hiked Mount Duff and Mount Mokoto (Rikitea, Mangareva, Gambier, PF) today. Only 5 miles, but over 2200 ft elevation gain/loss. No goats on this hike - just flying free range chickens 🐓✈️😂. Impressive downhill flights slaloming the pine trees. My legs are gonna hurt tomorrow. More footage to process... by @jaffadog2

Hiked the eastern ridge line of Akamaru, Gambier this morning with Swiss friends Robin and Amanda from Metani (@amanda_sailingtheworld). Just goat trails. Some rock scaling required. Lots of rough lava. But the view from the ridge was spectacular. About 240 meters elevation. I stitched this footage from the hike back down. There are a couple areas of knife edge ridge with sheer cliffs on both sides - (visually) easier going down than going up 😂. taken in Akamaru by @jaffadog2
