My company @creativefuturescollective got to partner and pop up at the @vanswarpedtour this past weekend in Long Beach.

From going to the first warped tour in Sydney in the 90’s, to hitchhiking on the 2002 Australian tour, to the 2016 US tour getting to travel on Kevin’s bus for a few dates and now in 2026 getting my company CFC to be a part of it is awesome.

Plus I got to see some of my favourite bands with my friends @jimmyeatworld @thirdeyeblind @lagwagon1989 @mxpxpx @theataris @madcaddiesofficial

The year was 1996, I was 12 years old and my family had just gotten our first PC with a CD-Rom. I was ecstatic. I now had the option to upgrade from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95, and boy was I going to take that option.

One of the first things that I noticed once I loaded that bad boy up, was that the Windows 95 CD-Rom came with TWO music videos to show off its incredible multimedia capabilities. One of the videos was forgettable, but the other was a music video shot on the set of Happy Days in the 1950’s. I hadn’t heard of this 1950’s band called @weezer before, but once my Mum had signed us up to OzEmail at 33.3kps, I surfed the world wide web to find out this Weezer band was not actually from the 1950’s but rather 1994.

The other thing I noticed was that the music video for ‘Buddy Holly’ was directed by a fella named Spike Jonze. I came to learn in subsequent years that he directed a bunch of my favourite music videos, skate videos and feature films.

Fast forward to last week, where I don’t mention my exact age anymore, and we had Spike Jonze x @ayoedebiri as our keynote speakers at the first Futures Summit LA25 that my company @creativefuturescollective x Snap Foundation put together.

Here’s a couple of pics from what was an epic day. Thanks world, thanks Spike, Ayo and @abbijacobson for joining us and thanks Windows 95.
