You’re my favorite place to look 🤍

Took a little creative chance during this session and captured something from her point of view…
what she sees when she looks down at her baby while she’s swinging him 🥹

The little hands reaching, the giggles, that face looking up at her like she’s his whole world…

It’s not perfect, and I’ll definitely keep refining this shot—but I LOVE what it represents.

Because this is the view she’ll miss one day… the way he fits right here in this moment, looking up at her with so much trust and joy.

Okay but can we please normalize trading skills again? 😂
I’ve been bartering for YEARS — way before it was cool. Sometimes money is great… and sometimes swapping talents just makes more sense. If we both win? I’m in.

So here’s me officially saying:
I’m open to equal-value trades for photo sessions.

Right now I’d happily trade for things like:

🌼 house cleaning (because… life)
🌼 car detailing or maintenance
🌼 massage or bodywork
🌼 esthetician services
🌼 landscaping / yard work
🌼 carpentry projects around the house
🌼 meal prep
🌼 lacrosse or softball training lessons
This isn’t about “exposure.” It’s about community, supporting each other’s businesses, and keeping it simple.

Some sessions just feel like summer — barefoot boys, golf balls flying off the dock, silk chickens running wild, and a quick basketball game with dad before sunset 🏀🐓☀️
No fancy outfits. No rules. Just the Hobie boat, the water, and everything that makes their family them.
These are the sessions that remind me… the best photos happen when you simply show up as you are. 💛

Hey friends! Somehow it’s already mid-October (how?! 😅) and my calendar is officially bursting at the seams — October is almost completely booked! 🙈
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping me busy capturing your beautiful, chaotic, love-filled families. I’ve laughed, chased toddlers, dodged wind gusts, and loved every second. 💛

As a small business owner myself, this one hit home. I came across this post from Jody Morgan and it really made me stop and think. Because honestly… isn’t this the truth? 🤍

“Taylor Swift wore a $320 dress, and it sold out in hours.
No one balked at the price.
No one questioned the value.
They just bought it.
Why? Because a celebrity wore it.
And honestly, it was stunning. Probably worth every penny.
But when a friend launches a boutique, suddenly it’s ‘too expensive.’
When a friend represents a company, suddenly ‘their opinion can’t be trusted.’
When a friend starts building something, suddenly ‘it couldn’t possibly succeed.’

Here’s the reality:
Every purchase from a friend’s business isn’t just about the product.
It’s a vote for their dream.
It’s validation for their courage.
It’s saying, ‘I believe in you.’
If we’re willing to trust a celebrity we’ll never meet, let’s start believing in the people we actually know and love.

I’ve heard “photography just isn’t in our budget this year” plenty of times. And I completely understand that. We all have different priorities, seasons, and budgets, and saying no to something doesn’t make anyone wrong.
But I also know what it feels like to pour your heart into something you’ve built from the ground up.
So when someone chooses to book, refer a friend, share a post, comment, recommend me, or simply cheer me on… it means more than they probably realize.
Because supporting a small business isn’t always about making a purchase.
Sometimes it’s simply saying:
I see what you’re building.
I believe in you.
And I’m rooting for you. 🤍
So maybe today, think of that friend who is building something, creating something, or taking a big leap.
You don’t have to buy from them.
But maybe share their post. Send someone their way. Tell them you’re proud of them.

There’s something about the families who just go with the flow that makes my heart so happy. 🤍

This crew? Pure magic.

Barefoot at home, bikes to the beach, salty hair, sunset skies, kids being kids, and absolutely zero pressure to make everything “perfect.”
Just a family living their little life together — laughing, riding, snuggling, chasing the light and soaking up the evening.

The kind of session that feels less like a photoshoot and more like a really good night with your favorite people. 🌿🌊

You’re my favorite place to look. 🤍
I tried this shot again at today’s sunrise session, this time with a 12-year-old girl and her 7-year-old brother.
And honestly, I loved seeing this idea with older kids.
They’re not tiny anymore. They’re growing, changing, becoming their own little people—and somehow, they still have this really sweet connection that feels so familiar.
The laughs, the way they look at each other, the little moments in between the posed photos… those are the things I want to remember.
Because one day she’ll be a teenager, he’ll be even bigger, and this exact season of their relationship will be gone.
So no, this photo isn’t perfect. I’m still figuring out exactly how I want to capture this perspective, and I’ll keep playing with it.
But I love what it represents.
A 12-year-old sister and her 7-year-old brother, right here in this little moment of childhood together.
Sometimes the photos we treasure most aren’t the perfect ones.
