Honored to serve as Co-President of the Production Initiatives Association and advocate for the vendors who power New York’s film and television industry.

Recently we spent time in Albany meeting with members of the NY State Senate and Assembly to discuss the continued importance of the NYS Film Tax Credit and the impact our industry has on jobs and economic growth across the state.

Appreciative of the opportunity to represent our community and help ensure New York remains a top destination for film and television production taken in NY State Capital Building by @jakebaer

A true masterpiece. Set among mountains and hot springs, the Hakone Open-Air Museum is where art and nature coexist in perfect harmony. I’ve never seen anything like it.

With works by Picasso, Henry Moore, Taro Okamoto, Joan Miró, Niki de Saint Phalle, and so many more — it’s a powerful reminder that art and nature aren’t just connected — they’re best friends. taken in Hakone Open-Air Museum by @jakebaer

A heartfelt thank you to the stranger who recently discovered and sent me old Newel letters from 1978, signed by my great uncle Bruce, discussing our expansion to the 53rd Street location. Despite not knowing what Newel was, he mailed them to me, feeling it was the right thing to do. ◡̈

As some of you might know, my Great Uncle Bruce recently passed away, making this gesture incredibly touching. These unexpected letters mean so much to me and serves as a powerful reminder that through our four-generational family business, Newel continues to share and preserve stories across generations, much like the timeless antiques we cherish. by @jakebaer

I’m deeply proud and honored to announce my election to the Board of the Set Decorators Society of America (SDSA). This significant milestone marks 18 years of my involvement with the SDSA, a journey that aligns with Newel’s legacy since its founding in 1939.

Ever since I was a little kid, loading furniture on trucks for the teamsters, I was in constant awe of the world of set decoration and the people in it. The amazing designs, resilience, and strong relationships built within the SDSA have always inspired me and I've learned so much. As I step into this new role on the board, I promise to do whatever it takes to help, grow, and support all the members of the SDSA, ensuring our collective success and continual evolution in the world of set decoration 😊 by @jakebaer
