This is what the joy of being the winning buyer out of eight looks like!

I had the pleasure of meeting this client through a previous listing. Enamored with the Portland community and the historic architecture, she was determined to take on her next project and we hit the ground running right away. The moment she walked through the open house, I got the text: “I love it, this is the one.” Competition grew fierce, as the location was prime and it had so much of the true Portland character, but after lots of communication and crafting the perfect terms - she got the house!

Seeing her light up and the wheels in her mind start turning was worth every hardship, and the amazing @sal_homes_in & @susiehuntmoranhomes on the list side made this sale seamless.

Over the moon! Congrats to this amazing client and person 🏡❤️ by @jakegrantrealtor

In the real estate world, there’s no shortage of challenges, uncertainty, and unpredictability. However, when it’s all said and done, it’s worth it to help out the amazing people I get to work with. Paige, thank you for sharing this review of your experience - getting to represent people like you make the job easy! by @jakegrantrealtor

Wrapping up the week getting this amazing family into their new home!

Getting connected to this crew almost felt like fate: two of us shared the same birthday, their daughter’s name was my sister’s name, and beyond any other coincidence we discovered along the way - we worked together to be an incredible team on their home buying journey. We were able to get their dream home at the price they wanted with everything they negotiated for covered so they can move in with peace of mind, and now they can start moving in and start all their memories together as a family in a home that’s truly their own.

Congrats Kyle, Mal and little Stella! So proud of you! by @jakegrantrealtor

Sometimes transactions can have last second spooks, which certainly fits the season, but getting the call that my seller closed today with a full price offer was the perfect treat to kick off this Halloween weekend! This transaction was the perfect example of how crystal clear communication and transparency makes for a near perfect sale, regardless of the obstacles that come up along the way. Shoutout to the wonderful @nikki_m_homeloans for coming to the rescue, @bobbymcveigh at Chicago Title for acting quick in the clutch, and to my fantastic co-agent @debanderson.realtor for doing a spectacular job for her buyers.

Now let’s kick off Halloweekend properly and have some fun 🎃👻🐈‍⬛ by @jakegrantrealtor

I was asking myself, is it too late for a #TakeoutTuesday today?

HELL no. Especially when it’s showcasing one of my all time favorite spots in Beaverton: Introducing @geraldispdx

This hole in the wall is a true haven for anyone who loves a good sandwich, some would argue the best in Portland and I might have to agree with them. The restaurant has been family owned for generations, and each generation has continued the same level of exceptional service and quality that has made the shop famous. My personal favorite is the hot pastrami, but don’t sleep on the meatball sub either. The Chicago beef is also a highly popular choice, dunked in the au jus (or served with it on the side if you prefer it dry) or try the Torpedo, the former with pepperoni added (!)

If you haven’t tried this place, do yourself a favor and go. You’ll never get a sub from a chain again

That’s all for this week! Check back for more local spots and give a shout to your favorite spots you think deserve some recognition! #takeouttuesday #votewithyourdollar by @jakegrantrealtor

True Portland charm around every corner, which is truly fitting for this beautiful farmhouse on a sun filled corner lot.

🏡: 5806 N Maryland Ave
3 🛌 / 2 🛁 / 2,428 sqft
Just Listed for $615,000

A masterful representation of what it means to preserve historic charm with all the right upgrades, these sellers left no stone unturned during their 11 years of ownership. High ceilings and large, upgraded Milgard windows allow for tons of natural light regardless of the season. The open floor plan makes for a welcoming footprint for all walks of life, and the custom built-ins, nooks, and storage will have you falling more and more with this home for years to come. In addition to the property’s historic charm, these owners took every measure to ensure peace of mind for long-term living. They installed a John’s Waterproofing system in the basement proactively, and a radon mitigation system is already in place. The outdoor space offers room to garden, a cozy green space, and a concrete patio perfect for low maintenance entertaining and living. Massive two car garage with zoning that could potentially allow for an ADU, Duplex, or a garage (buyer to verify). Although on a very quiet street, this property is minutes to all the action in Overlook, MAX access, and freeway access to explore the entire city.

This home received the kind of care that only someone who has true pride in home ownership could give, and I can’t wait to see which buyer will be lucky enough to be in a home that’s so loved. Open today (10/24) from 1-3 and Sunday (10/25) from 11-1, come see me or schedule a personal showing. Come with your agent (or me if you need one!)

Football season is in full swing, and there isn’t any better grub to complement it than wings & curds! In honor of @fotmpdx officially having both - I had to put the PDX Metro on notice for this week’s #TakeoutTuesday

Fire on the Mountain is a notorious staple for some of the greatest wings in Portland, their wings are saucy, flavorful and their spicy peanut sauce has earned itself a cult following! Their location on NE 57th is my personal favorite because of their garlic knots as well, which get paired with either their marinara, or - queue up the angel choir - their queso. And if you haven’t had their deep fried Oreos? Don’t question it, just get one.

FOTM is always deserving of its flowers, but let me know your favorite wing spots in the comments. @jerrystavern & @tinkertavern are two of my additional favorites, what’s your go-to?

That’s all for this week folks! Tune in next time for more local spots and spread the good word of all the amazing local restaurants we have in this fantastic city! by @jakegrantrealtor
