I’m excited to announce that my group The Dream Project is performing at The Wine Sellers in Macomb, IL on Saturday, October 24 from 5:30-7:30pm! This will feature the very first Dream Project formation that inspired me in the first place! These guys are some of the best musicians I’ve ever had the pleasure to perform with. I’ve been wanting to get these guys back together for quite sometime and with the recent announcements of reuniting old colleagues from the university we came together, let’s extend the reunion even further. The Wine Sellers is not only a great venue, but holds as the birthplace of Dream Project’s first performances. As usual, we got original compositions and arrangements of video game music. Enjoy a night of drinks, music, and fun! We hope to see you there in October! Personnel:

My solo over Coltrane’s “Naima” from a gig in early August at my town’s local library with @s_jam3s on bass 🎻 I wanted to post this as a way to show my gratitude towards one of my constant influences in music and life. From not understanding his music in high school to transcribing his solos and music to understanding his playing and philosophy, Coltrane is undeniably one of my heroes in music, not just jazz. His sound alone is something to be explored. His fluidity, inflection and emotion are something I keep trying to channel in this performance and even now. Jazz and music as a whole would not be where it is without him. Happy Birthday to Charlie (Bird) Parker 🐦 🎷 I’ve listened to his playing for 6 years and transcribed many of his solos. He is still an inspiration for me to this day. This summer I worked on his solo on “Parker’s Mood” and it is a three minute masterpiece. If there is one thing I’m trying to match in his playing besides his sound and inflections, it’s his fluid style of playing where everything is expressive and honest. I’ll continue to work on it. I’ve not done an update in awhile so let’s break this down. After two years studying and performing at the University of Illinois, I finally received my Masters Degree in Jazz Performance! I can’t be thankful enough to all my wonderful colleagues teachers who have supported me throughout my time in school 🙏 Every single one of you helped shape my musical journey. I especially want to thank @mcneill.chip for accepting me into the program and teaching me valuable information. However, I also wanted to showcase some things that happened during this summer. I’ve been doing more gigs of my own especially with Blind Mice and my own group The Dream Project. These groups have also helped me along my journey and I continue to appreciate performing live in front of many engaging audiences. I also went to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to spend time with family, visit the Shine of St. Maximilian Kolbe, and went to Tennessee to celebrate my brother’s bachelor party! And of course, getting to be with my parents’ new dog, Aslan (four months and he’s already getting bigger 🥲). Again, thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way 🙏. We’re not though, I have some more upcoming projects and announcements soon! Until then, I’ll be taking a year off of school to find out what my next course of direction I should take. That’s all for now ✌️
