If you can keep your head when all about you
    are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
if you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    but make allowance for their doubting too;
if you can wait and not be tired of waiting,
    or being lied about, without dealing lies,
or being hated, not giving way to hate,
    and yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

if you can dream and not make dreams your master;
    if you can think and not make thoughts the aim;
if you can meet with triumph and disaster
    and treat those two impostors just the same;
if you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
    twisted by clowns to make a trap for fools,
or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    and rebuild them with worn-out tools:

if you can make one heap of all your winnings
    and risk it on a pitch and toss,
and lose, and start again at your beginnings
    and never breathe a word about your loss;
if you can force your heart and nerve
    to serve you long after they are done,
and so hold on when there is nothing in you
    except the will that says … hold on:

if you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    or walk with kings and keep the common touch,
if neither foes nor friends can hurt you,
    and all men count on you, but none too much;
if you can fill the unforgiving minute
    with sixty seconds’ worth of run,
yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
    and - which is more - you’ll be a man, my son.

From his first day of kindergarten at Denver Green School to the last day of Senior year at Cherry Creek High School! We’ve watched a child transition through every stage of cool, awkward, unsure and confident to become the man he is today! It’s amazing perspective to have had the privilege of raising a human through the years to help guide the way for the other 2 coming down the pipeline. And what big shoes both kids have to fill with their big brother as an example. The days are long, but the years are short. So proud of my son! by @james.do.things

Happy birthday to this gem of a man. We spent the last of his 30’s proving that age is just a number and we get to choose how we act and feel in it. Every day he shows up for our family and is the best partner I could dream of in this life! Happy birthday to you @james.do.things taken in Vis, Splitsko-Dalmatinska, Croatia by @james.do.things
