Today my family and I had to say goodbye to a special person an amazing dad, husband, brother, uncle, friend, son, and just in general a great human being. My dad taught me how to fight for life and earn all the things you get. He taught me how to be a family man and how important it is just to enjoy the little things like a dinner on a Thursday night or watching a movie together on a weekend night. I may not have appreciated it enough but looking back I am grateful for these little examples that my dad left me to set an example of how to be a good man. I will always love and cherish the moments we shared whether it was trips to Quincy on sundays or trips to Fenway the conversations on that 20 minute drive to work will always sit with me even if it was just us talking about nothing. Dad you are and always will be my role model and I will cherish our memories and the things I’ve learned from you forever. I will honor our name until the day I die and am buried by your side. I love you Dad and you will be celebrated for eternity.

Today marks one year since you have passed Dad. Although this year has flown by it has not taken away the pain of you not being here. First birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter and so many more memories new firsts because we can’t enjoy them with you. Although missing you is so hard to deal with it is also a privilege because that proves alone how much we loved you. I hope you’re pouring beers in heaven and blessing us from upstairs.
