Tomorrow is your last day to view “Earnest Attempts” my two person show with @lauralemna on view at @jamesmaygallery

It’s been such a delight to consider Laura’s gorgeous abstract paintings in partnership with my work and to have this show up as the last one at @jamesmaygallery for a while in MKE has been an honor. Stop by 10am-2pm or feel free to message me for more info on the work if you’re not able to view it locally 💛

My piece "Passed Down" 🧵 was broken up into two pieces for the installation of "Earnest Attempts", my two person show with @lauralemna that is currently on view at @jamesmaygallery - This is my first time having an artwork that can be flexible with the installation method, broken apart to facilitate broader views and conversations. I love the way it speaks to Laura's paintings. If you are in the MKE area go see the work Saturday Feb 7th from 10am-2pm! taken in James May Gallery by @jamesmaygallery

CHANGE OF PLANS 🥶 we’re moving the opening reception to Saturday 12-2pm. Stay warm MKE friends! 💙💙 by @jamesmaygallery

🚨 Reception postponed! Join us Saturday 12-2pm NOT Friday night due to the extremely cold temps and winter warning 🥶

There are so many heartbreaking things happening in the world right now, and sometimes making art—or sharing it—can feel trivial in the face of so much pain. And still… this show opens Friday and if you’re in the MKE area you’re invited to join us at @jamesmaygallery tomorrow night from 6-8pm.

Earnest Attempts is rooted in letting the hand show up: unsteady lines, stitched fabric, adjusted decisions. @lauralemna and I both approach abstraction as a way to stay open—to memory, to lineage, to intuition, and to learning through making. Feeling thankful for this space, this collaboration, and the chance to keep asking where our instincts come from. I hope this work can be a small place to pause, feel, and remember that sharing time and space with a warm community is as important now as ever. taken in James May Gallery by @jamesmaygallery

So excited to share Earnest Attempts, a two-person exhibition with @lauralemna opening next week in MKE! 💛 Our work meets through abstraction, repair, repurposed materials, and the visible presence of the hand. This show holds a lot about care, intuition, and making sense through process rather than precision. Grateful to show alongside Laura and to be part of this conversation.

Hope to see you at @jamesmaygallery Friday 1/23 from 6-8pm!
