to think, a song @the_isabel_grace and i wrote back in 2020 right before our senior years of college would be performed in the center of times square three years later… is unbelievable. i can’t even begin to describe how thankful i am. thank you to @deannagiulietti for having us, thank you to all of the wonderful performers for your time and talent, thank you to the wonderful wonderful WONDERFUL production team behind this show, and thank you to everyone who has followed along and supported the growing of “the pyramid: a dance moms parody musical”. it’s so inspiring to know that these songs are bringing so much entertainment and joy into the world.

this is only the beginning for these dance mommies. 💝

Everyone’s replaceable. This episode is not. Can you guess what got bleeped out? 🤐 Drop your best guesses in the comments, and tune in when the full episode drops later this week!

This week on Tea Time with Mikayla, we’re going straight to the top of the pyramid with the team behind The Pyramid: A Dance Moms Parody Musical.
We talk about turning reality TV chaos into musical theatre, what makes parody work when it has an actual heart, the fine line between loving something and lovingly roasting it, and why Dance Moms has always been just a little bit theatrical.
There is fandom. There is camp. There is competition culture. There is musical theatre mayhem. And yes, there is tea.
The Pyramid episode airs this week. Point your toes and pour a cup. 🫖
