me pretending i’m not emotionally invested in how this blonde turns out after i’ve already planned the formula, analysed the foils and stared at the colour from 17 different angles!!

there’s just something about fresh blonde hair that suddenly makes you feel like you have places to be.

need to go to the shops? absolutely.
coffee + bagels on Jetty Road? she’s there.
random errand that could have waited until tomorrow? suddenly VERY important.
drinks with the girls that weren’t even locked in before the appointment? locked in now.

Somehow, a fresh blonde makes everything feel a little more cinematic.

Technically this is just me doing your blonde.
Mentally, we reset the system.

One thing I’ve been seeing WAY too much lately… is a lot of dirty scalps in my sink.

POV: your hairdresser’s idea of a fun monday is a full day of hair education 🤎

monday was spent with @hausofvakai_salon @kainevakaihair , learning all things grey blending, extensions and blondes and we had the BEST time doing it !!

I think one of the most important things you can do as a hairdresser is keep putting yourself in rooms where you can learn from people who are doing incredible things in the industry.

Because techniques will always change, the products change, the trends change… and there is always something new to bring back to the salon and into your appointments.

Edu days like this are such a good reminder of why I love hair so much. There is always something new to learn, another way to approach a colour and another little thing that can make your client’s result even better 🤍

Very grateful and big thank you to @jamesthesalon for making days like this possible!!

Now here’s to taking all of this new knowledge back to the chair !!

Welcome to my juggling act of life angels 💙
The second I finished high school I was all in
I started working for myself at the age of 22 and threw myself into working 9-9 during the week while working photoshoots and weddings during the weekend 😭! I felt like I was 67 years old by the time I hit 26. That is the difference between motivation and obsession! I am genuinely obsessed with my job but I’m here for a long time and I’m SO GLAD I have found more balance because ya girl was so close to tapping out 😅
