Imagine drawing whilst a live jazz band plays improvised jams🎨🎷

Here’s a glimpse of our Life Drawing & Live Jazz Special

@jamettone are a West Yorkshire jazz collective, that creates music in the moment while we draw.

curated by and featuring @exp.ben here on the keys

@nickbcello on the Cello even brings cake

There are complimentary nibbles

Plenty of equipment to choose from

I take you through some silly and simple drawing prompts

Because drawing so much more fun when you let go of perfectionism and ignore that critical voice in your head

It’s such a special way to spend an evening with an even more special community.

LIFE DRAWING + LIVE IMROV JAZZ IN MANCHESTER🎷

A relaxed evening of creating and connecting💁🏻‍♀️

You’ll be welcomed by the sounds of @jamettone a Improv Jazz Collective from West Yorkshire

Throughout the night, the band will play 6-minute live jams, which we’ll draw to 🎷

🎹 @exp.ben
🎸 @chinnybass
🥁 @jus_drums
🎻 @nickbcello
🎷 Nel

Before settling down to draw, please know there’s no right or wrong way. This is just time to slow down and create✏️

We’ll start with 4 × 1-minute poses, each with a drawing prompt to get you warmed up.

Then we’ll do a bunch of 6 minute poses so as music fades it’s the end of that pose and drawing.

On the break you’ll have the chance to stretch your legs and have a little chat with a bunch of friendly folk.

Theres complimentary nibbles, usually breads, cheese, fruit, olives, ect. Nick from the band, even brings homemade cake along!

AND it’s BYOB so you can bring your own beverages.

You’re invited to lay your work down and we have a walk around to be inspired by everyone’s different takes on the figure. If you’re feeling shy, that’s fine to! There’s no pressure.

Feeling inspired and connected, we’ll move into some longer 12-minute poses.

I’ll keep you updated on timings too, so you can focus on drawing. ⏰

⏰ Thursday 8th October, 7–9pm
📍 St Michael’s, Ancoats, M4 5DG
