@jamettone make music in the moment. Completely improvised sessions are filmed and recorded regularly, mainly at DubWhy Studios in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The good stuff gets released. All curated by and featuring @exp.ben on keys. Contributors have played Montreux Jazz Festival, Glastonbury, Shepherds Bush Empire, Alexandra Palace & countless more. The first officially recorded jam was on the 19th January 2019 and during this session (as had been tradition for the unrecorded jams prior to it) a panettone (brought by cellist and jam regular Nick Bennion) was shared amongst the musicians at the half-time break. A Jamettone. Each Jamettone performance differs, some are totally improvised, others explore previously improvised tracks! This set supporting Happy Daggers will feature four previously improvised tracks that singer Claire Ray created, and four Jamettone versions of ExP's hip-hop songs! You can catch this beaut of a lineup this Friday night at @kcc_shipley and it's already shaping up to be a busy one... Dust off your dancing shoes and join us from 7 pm with @shipleytriangle in the bar 🙌

Imagine drawing whilst a live jazz band plays improvised jams🎨🎷 Here’s a glimpse of our Life Drawing & Live Jazz Special @jamettone are a West Yorkshire jazz collective, that creates music in the moment while we draw. curated by and featuring @exp.ben here on the keys @nickbcello on the Cello even brings cake There are complimentary nibbles Plenty of equipment to choose from I take you through some silly and simple drawing prompts Because drawing so much more fun when you let go of perfectionism and ignore that critical voice in your head It’s such a special way to spend an evening with an even more special community. 🎨Life drawing + Live Jazz 📍@the_halle St Michael’s, Ancoats 📆Thursday 8th October 7-9pm 🎟️£24 🔗Link in Bio
