From competing with different clubs and playing internationally, Jamia shares how soccer has taught her the importance of adapting to change whether it’s a new environment or an end of a contract

We also discuss the importance of having a creative outlet outside of sports and how fashion has become a space for her to express herself beyond being an athlete BUT with the same goal oriented mindset 🌟 by @jamiafields

all I can say is, believe in your vision even if a path to get there is unknown, know your value in & out of sport, keep your joy, & embrace your journey even if it’s uncertain at times, GOD will make sense of it along the way.🙏🏾 taken in Los Angeles, California by @jamiafields

A reminder to reflect & maybe write down what you have accomplished in life both big & small. Take a second to be proud of yourself. For me It’s easy to get caught up in what I want in the future, constantly thinking of new ideas and what’s next, so sometimes I forget to reflect and be proud of what I’ve done thus far, the silent battles I fought & everything in between. Thankful to have this photo sent to me that someone saw in a store, it allowed me to reflect & realize how proud little jamia would be. So for all the underdogs who have big visions but maybe their current circumstances don’t reflect those goals…Keep going, remember to be proud of yourself along the journey, & keep holding on to your vision.

Massive thank you to our guest speakers who took part in the Panel talk last week at the Livestock x Nike X2 Pop-Up. The discussion touched on various angles of the intersection of sport and culture, as well as how the game and it’s surrounding environment will evolve in the coming years.

Toronto is up next! The next Panel Talk is happening tomorrow, June 23rd from 6PM-9PM at Livestock. Our panelists are all set, and you are all invited.

Hit the link in our bio for the full event details and to RSVP.

If you weren’t able to make it to either of these events, the entire panel talk recordings from both Vancouver and Toronto will be available online later this week. Plug into the culture anytime from anywhere.

Stay tuned for more. by @jamiafields
