Twilight Time, ball point pen ink, acrylic paint, bleach, pencil, embossing on paper, 14 x 11 in, 2026 This is the 27th painting in a series made in a sketch book. As I am working the page is heavily scored leaving embossed marks on the paper and the pages below. This creates "shadow" images, remnants of past works that are embedded in the papers. When the ink is smeared over the surface past drawings make hazy appearances that partially guide the direction on the new works. taken in Celeste, Texas by @jamie2062

A consultant visited the studio today. She brought two young enquiring hopefuls. There was good news and bad news. The good news is that, on her first visit, she made a deposit ! The bad news is that I don't think it was for art... 🤠 taken in Celeste, Texas by @jamie2062

Fireball 500, 2026
Tire, automotive paints, acrylic paint. 28 x 38 x 15 in.
A longer title is; "Fireball 500 (of the Apocalypse)," and can refer to the Red Horse of the Apocalypse mentioned in the book of Revelation. There are 4 horses; White, Red, Black, and Pale. Red is the second Horse and represents war, bloodshed, carnage, and chaos. Fireball 500 is also a wild 1966 stock car race movie. taken in Celeste, Texas by @jamie2062

Stradivarius, 2025
tire, automotive paint
9 x 38 x 29 in. This tire I call Stradivarius and is one of the most decimated examples in need of repair I have ever seen. It's part of a series I call Fix-a-Flat. Driving around the countryside you might see rundown looking shops with hand-painted signs out front that say, "Fix-a-Flat." That's what I am doing, fixing flat tires. This one is ready! taken in Celeste, Texas by @jamie2062
