@kami_williamson : Happy EIGHTEENTH birthday to my precious baby girl!! 🥹🧁 You are brilliant, hilarious, kind, compassionate, gorgeous, strong, and fiercely determined. You have a way of leading and motivating people without ever losing the enormous heart that makes you who you are. And somehow, in the middle of becoming this amazing person, you’ve always managed to be MY biggest cheerleader. On the days when I feel like I’m failing at life, you’re the one reminding me who I am, making me laugh, encouraging me, and somehow knowing exactly what I need to hear. I hope you know what an extraordinary gift that is to your mama. Honestly, you are all the things I wanna be when I grow up. Watching you grow has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I am so incredibly proud of the woman you are becoming, and even more excited for the woman you’re going to be. Info on Mom, for those who want to help us pray specifically: She has basically been totally paralyzed from the waist down since spring/summer due to what we thought was degenerative disorders that would not be possible to resolve. She also refused a catheter for way too long and ended up with so much retention in her bladder and an awful UTI / renal encephalopathy— Monday was a super scary day, and everything since then has been a blur. Hospitalist Dr. Zhang at RRMC walked in with some scary but also fabulous news that although her entire spine is a train wreck of degenerative disc disease, extensive stenosis, etc… there are two specific areas of spinal cord compression, including an actual fracture at T11/T12 that can hopefully be surgically resolved! Fast forward, we have had another ambulance ride, this time to Erlanger in Chattanooga, a plethora of scans and tests, still some dramatic confusion, some laughs, cries, tears, and prayers. They discovered she also has blood clots in both lungs, so we are addressing that overnight tonight and plan to go ahead with the neurosurgery tomorrow to address the spinal cord compression issues. This will likely be tomorrow afternoon and will be roughly 3 hours or so for the procedure. We are specifically praying that this will alleviate the paralysis, as well as her urinary issues and also the neuropathy and pain that has dramatically affected her quality of life. We will read her your well wishes tomorrow before surgery and will try to keep you all posted. Thanks so much to all who have reached out to check on us. We have seen God’s goodness in every step along the way, and have such a peace that this is going to be the answer to prayer. by @jamiew1611

A little tardy with the #backtoschool post, but nevertheless… 😎 I may be a bit in denial- my first baby is now officially a senior, her sister a junior, and my youngest is starting his last year in elementary. I’m endlessly proud of these kids of mine, and also completely in shock at how fast it all flies by. Soaking it all in… and praying for happy memories and an amazing school year! by @jamiew1611
