With reflections of Twighlight Zone (2024) by @arocha.schraenen 🖤

A tense plastic that bends with humidity
Bankrupting all the companies that produced it
It chose this shape itself
I encourage, facilitate and give it what it wants- to bend and shine
The intricate technique of making its deep layers was lost 30 years ago
And only a few more pieces in this colour exist
Salvaged by a hypnotist from a factory that burned down

Tajemnicza zapowiedź instalacji, którą zobaczycie już w niedzielę podczas finisażu 18. Międzynarodowego Triennale Tkaniny! 🪡

„Łódź na rzece - opowieść nieoczywista” czyli spacer performatywny, podczas którego odczytane zostaną autorskie opowieści inspirowane historią i dziedzictwem Łodzi.

Instalacja powstała w wyniku wspólnej pracy twórców reprezentujących odmienne praktyki i podejścia do medium tkaniny: Charlot Markus i Niels Albers (Studio Charlott Markus – Szwecja, Holandia), Safi Niang, Souleymane Bachir Diaw (Atelier Ndokette – Gwinea, Senegal) oraz Jan Tomza-Osiecki (Polska).

Ruch, narracja i obecność ciała aktywują przestrzeń instalacji, tworząc wspólne doświadczenie dla odbiorców.

A mysterious preview of the installation you’ll see this Sunday during the closing of the 18th International Triennial of Textile! 🪡

„Boat on the River - A Non-Obvious Story” is a performative walk featuring the reading of original stories inspired by the history and heritage of Łódź.

The installation resulted from the collaborative work of artists representing different practices and approaches to the textile medium: Charlot Markus and Niels Albers (Studio Charlott Markus – Sweden, Netherlands), Safi Niang and Souleymane Bachir Diaw (Atelier Ndokette – Guinea, Senegal), and Jan Tomza-Osiecki (Poland).

Movement, narrative, and the presence of the body activate the installation space, creating a shared experience for the audience.

To the dry temple by the tree
But I arrived, my knifecatcher
