Every year, on Purple Thursday, we join an annual tradition and take a stand against domestic violence and for gender justice for all survivors. Many of our incredible member organizations incorporate purple into their logos, and it's a huge part of our branding too. But why purple? Thank you to everyone who showed up with such momentum and solidarity with survivors at our rally with Mass NOW last week! We are still feeling all of the brilliance, outrage, and collective power of our communities coming together to fight for survivor justice last week.

Our coalition fights for survivors every single day, from finding immediate safety to long term stability and healing. Our outrage moves all of us. Our movement needs all of us. Our work started long before Cornell, and our work continues locally in our neighborhoods, here in Massachusetts.

Today is Indigenous Peoples' Day. Today, we not only honor and celebrate the culture, community, and legacies of the indigenous and native people--including but not limited to Wampanoag, Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah), Mashpee Wampanoag, Massachusett, and Nipmuc Peoples--past and present In Massachusetts. We call to action our communities to raise awareness and commit to understanding that there is no survivor justice until there are no more MMIWR2S (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Relatives, and 2 Spirit).

🚨 WE DEMAND AN END TO SEXUAL VIOLENCE 🚨

Last night, we gathered with hundreds of people at the Boston Common to stand in solidarity with Jane Doe in her fight against Cornell University and the Chi Phi fraternity, and all survivors of sexual violence.

We’re calling on campuses, healthcare institutions, state leaders, and our own community to take action to end sexual violence 💜

The fight doesn’t end at the end of the rally, we’re fighting for survivors every single day.
