Another Campolo Center Civil Rights Spring Break Pilgrimage filled with so much joy and affection—and so much grief and horror too. Our amazing group of 29 Campolo Fellows (and friends!) traveled through Memphis, Clarksdale, Jackson, Selma, Birmingham, Montgomery, Tuskegee, and Atlanta. We learned together about the tragic, dehumanizing transatlantic slave trade that began over 400 years ago and how its racist legacy carries on today in so many ways. As challenging as this trip was, there is great goodness in facing it together, bearing witness to one another’s stories, and returning home to continue learning, growing, and sharing life together on this side of all that we experienced. taken in Campolo Center by @janefilkin
