It’s almost impossible to sum up Winter FancyFaire show in San Diego last week.

Celebrating 30 years of Janet’s Finest with our mom, Janet, and our dad by our side felt full-circle in the very best way.

Seeing so many industry friends, discovering incredible pairings, meeting buyers, and finally securing a few grocery chains we’ve been working toward for a long time, every piece felt meaningful and so joyful.

👻✨ Spooky never tasted so good!

These Cheesy Raspberry Jalapeño Mummy Pies are the perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and sharp with Janet’s Finest Raspberry Jalapeño Compote and Tillamook Extra Sharp Triple Cheddar wrapped up in golden, flaky pastry.

Serve them warm for a Halloween night snack that’ll disappear faster than a ghost!

🧀 Recipe:

1️⃣ Roll out puff pastry and cut into rectangles (think mini hand pies)
2️⃣ Sprinkle Tillamook Sharp Cheddar on each rectangle
3️⃣ Add a spoonful of Janet’s Finest Raspberry Jalapeño Compote
4️⃣ Cut thin pastry strips and lay across the top for a mummy look
5️⃣ Brush with beaten egg
6️⃣ Bake at 425°F for 8 minutes — until golden and spooky! 👀 by @janetsfinest

Autumn Apple Salad with Raspberry Jalapeño Dressing 🍎🍂

Crisp green apples, fresh spinach, bloomy rind cheese and pistachios, tossed with a simple Raspberry Jalapeño dressing.

Fresh, cozy and very fall. 🍂

For the salad
• Fresh spinach (or greens of your choice)
• 1–2 green apples, thinly sliced
• bloomy rind cheese (@greendirtfarm)
• Pistachios

For the dressing:
• 2 tablespoons @janetsfinest Raspberry Jalapeño Compote
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• Salt & freshly ground pepper, to taste

To make it:
Whisk the compote and olive oil together, then season with salt and pepper. Toss the spinach and apples lightly with the dressing, then add the cheese and pistachios. Give it one more gentle toss and serve.

Let’s talk about Jalapeño Pepper. 🌶️🧀

This one is a little different from our berry compotes. It’s sweet, savory and tangy with a bright jalapeño kick, and it LOVES cheese.

A few of our favorite pairings:

🧀 Cream cheese - the classic. Spoon it right over a block and grab the crackers. You’re welcome.

🐐 Goat cheese - the tangy goat cheese + sweet heat situation is SO good.

🧀 Aged cheddar - sharp, salty and just enough heat to keep things interesting.

🧀 Brie - creamy, buttery and a little spicy? Yes, please.

🧀 Manchego - nutty, salty and absolutely made for a little Jalapeño Pepper.
