“These D* cards are so GOOD.” And then the conversation got real. 💛

During my visit to @goodthingsdc , the hosts used my @theartoflifeing meditation cards, and one question opened the door to an emotional, honest conversation about purpose, expectations, fear, and the courage to imagine something different.

You do not have to upend your whole life today. Sometimes, the next step is simply asking:

What if?

“Hey, ‘You’re doing too much. You’re too opinionated. You’re too loud. You’re too... Brazen.’” Heard that before?

In honor of women’s history month – I issue the call to BE BRAZEN!

We’re not just reclaiming ‘brazen,’ we’re celebrating it as our superpower.

Curious… Was this an encouragement to move boldly in something? by @janettersmith

Psst stop waiting for ‘something’ from ‘somewhere’ to happen —I’m opening myself in full expression, “at the ready” to co-create with God. I am the architect of my reality, and I trust in the Divine to guide my construction.

We’re in the final hours before the FIRST Top Host ELIMINATION tonight. ❤️

I want to share:—-this really is a marathon, not a sprint.

Tonight each group narrows to the Top 20, then it keeps getting tighter from there.

So if you see me sitting at #1, please don’t assume I’m “safe” and skip your vote. 😂 Those votes still matter as we move through these early elimination rounds, and every single one helps me hold the momentum you’ve helped build.

And speaking of that...

THANK YOU. Truly.💛🙌🏽
For voting. For paying to donate votes, Sharing my posts. Texting friends. Cheering me on. Believing I belong in this space.

You have already made this experience something special.

If you’re willing, please keep that daily free vote coming.

14 HOURS. And because of YOU, I’m still holding #1. 🥹❤️ BUT TODAY IS DIFFERENT ‼️

I cannot say thank you enough for every vote, every share, every text, every “did you vote today?” reminder, and every person who has decided to take this ride with me.

Here’s why today is different.

Every vote is being DOUBLED, which means the standings can move quickly.

Your FREE vote = 2 votes today.

So this is definitely not the day for us to look at #1 and think, “She’s good.” 😂
This is the day we protect what we’ve built.

If you’ve been voting, come back today.
If you’ve been meaning to vote, this is the moment.
And if you’ve been sharing this journey with somebody else, send them my way too.

I’m grateful. I’m excited. And I’m trying not to stare at that countdown clock every five minutes. 😩😂

Let’s hold #1 and make it through this first elimination.

❤️ Vote Janette R Smith
And remember, your FREE vote counts TWICE today.

We’re in the final quarter of the year, and this is usually when we start asking, “What do I still want to accomplish?”

But maybe there’s a better question:

Am I living in a way that actually feels meaningful to me?

Covering 9/11 forced me to ask that question years ago.

Was I really using my gifts? Contributing? Showing up fully?

Because sometimes what keeps us stuck isn’t a lack of opportunity. It’s an old loop of thoughts, emotions and behaviors running on repeat.

Science calls it rewiring.

Scripture calls it renewing your mind.

Either way, change starts when we’re willing to examine what’s been running us.

Before this year ends, what pattern are you ready to interrupt?

95 years of grace, strength, wisdom, faith, laughter, and LOVE. 💙💛

Today we celebrate our Mom, Eva P. Smith, and I’m simply grateful God chose me to be her daughter. What a blessing it is to love her, learn from her, laugh with her, and celebrate her!

Happy 95th Birthday, Mommy.
We love you more than words can hold. 🎉🎂💐💛 by @janettersmith

Hope is not whether the glass is half empty or half full. Hope is knowing the glass can be refilled. 💛
That is the kind of hope I believe in.

Hope is not pretending everything is okay.

It is not toxic positivity. It is not ignoring the hard parts. It is choosing to stay open to possibility, even when life has given you reasons to close up.

This is only one of the types of conversations and interviews I want to help cultivate on iHEART Radio. Please vote daily to help me get there.

https://tophost.org/2026/janette-r-smith

In this conversation, @goodthingsdc I shared three things that help us keep moving: set goals you can actually desire, stay open to the pathway, and keep replenishing your willpower.

Because resilience is not endless.

We have to care for the tank we’re drawing from.

You’ve probably seen Top Host posts all over your feed and wondered, WTHeck is this all about

So I’m answering your questions!
🎙️ What is Top Host?
🎧 What happens if I win?
❤️ What does the Ryan Seacrest Foundation have to do with it?
🗳️ And why does your vote matter?

I’ll break it all down, one question at a time.

Thank you for helping me keep pushing The Art of LIFEing toward that iHeartRadio mic. 💛🎙️

You could vote for anyone... but here’s MY why. 💛

The ultimate prize is a 6-episode podcast on iHeartRadio.

For me, this is bigger than winning a contest. It’s about creating a space for smart, honest, meaningful conversations about life, purpose, culture, reinvention, grief, joy, and everything in between.

I’m currently holding the #1 spot in my group, and if I can stay there through October 15, I’ll advance to the next round of the Top Host competition.

If you agree that our world could use more thoughtful, strategic and empowering conversations... please vote and help me hold onto #1. 💛 THANK YOU in advance!

Answering your Questions 💛🙏🏽⭐️🎙️

I didn’t want to campaign for a calling.

That was the tension for me.

I’m not really a “contest person,” and asking people to vote for me to do something that feels so connected to purpose felt… strange.

But then I had to remind myself: we don’t always get to choose the vehicle God uses to move us toward what He called us to do.

So here I am. Showing up. Letting myself want it. And letting y’all help me get there. 💛

If you believe The Art of LIFEing belongs on a bigger platform, I’d love your vote.!

One free vote every 24 hours
