✨ WHAT A WAY TO CLOSE OUT SEASON 5! ✨🎬

Last night’s Good Things DC season finale was all about LIVING INTENTIONALLY—choosing purpose over pressure, embracing what truly matters, and creating a life that feels as good as it looks! 💫

We were joined by the incredible Pamela McCormick of Refined Ambiance, who reminded us that intentional living isn’t about perfection—it’s about making meaningful choices that align with the life we want to live. 💕

🎥 MISSED THE FINALE? WE’VE GOT YOU!

📲 STREAM IT NOW on the DCE Network App! Catch the conversation, the inspiration, and all the Good Things you don’t want to miss!

“We’re in the final quarter of the year, and this is usually when we start asking, “What do I still want to accomplish?”

But maybe there’s a better question:

Am I living in a way that actually feels meaningful to me?

Covering 9/11 forced me to ask that question years ago.

Was I really using my gifts? Contributing? Showing up fully?

Because sometimes what keeps us stuck isn’t a lack of opportunity. It’s an old loop of thoughts, emotions and behaviors running on repeat.

Science calls it rewiring.

Scripture calls it renewing your mind.

Either way, change starts when we’re willing to examine what’s been running us.

Before this year ends, what pattern are you ready to interrupt?”

Last night on Good Things DC, we went DEEP and asked a question that seems simple—but can completely change the way we live:

What if joy isn’t something we wait for… but something we intentionally choose? 💛

Our latest episode, “Chasing Joy,” is all about finding joy in the middle of real life—the busy seasons, the unexpected turns, and even the moments when happiness feels a little harder to reach.

If you missed it—or you just want to experience it again—“Chasing Joy” is NOW STREAMING on the DCE Network App! 🎬✨

Gather your people, settle in, and join us for a conversation about choosing joy, creating it, and giving ourselves permission to pursue more of it.

What if joy isn’t something you find…but something you choose?🤔

On this week’s episode of Good Things DC, we’re ✨CHASING JOY✨

Join us for an inspiring conversation about what it means to intentionally make room for joy—and finding hope, purpose, perspective even when life is busy, complicated, or doesn’t go according to plan.

And joining us again 🙏🏽 is the phenomenal @janettersmith who reminds us that sometimes the life we’re chasing isn’t nearly as important as learning how to fully live the one we already have.

Because joy isn’t frivolous.
Joy isn’t something we have to earn.
And joy doesn’t have to wait until all is perfect.

📺 Episode 2 PREMIERES TOMORROW! 9/15

What a powerful day at the From Oil to Fire Summit: The Activation Experience. 🔥

Hearts were awakened, alignment was deepened, and many were blessed as we made room for God to move in us and through us.

Grateful for every person who showed up with an open heart and a willing spirit. The fire has been stirred, and we believe God is still activating what He has placed within us.

Happy 240th Anniversary, Bethel AME Church!

What an honor it was to chair our historic Anniversary Gala on November 14—a night filled with elegance, dining, dancing, and a celebration of legacy, faith, and God’s unending favor.

As I look back at the photos from the evening, my heart is full. I am deeply grateful for everyone who assisted, attended, supported, prayed, and poured love into making this event unforgettable. Thank you for showing up with joy, with generosity, and with the spirit of Bethel.

It was a privilege to honor three of our pastoral leadership teams who have carried the mantle of faith with strength and grace:

- Bishop John R. Bryant & the late Rev. Dr. Cecelia. Williams Bryant
- Bishop Frank M. Reid, III & Supervisor Marlaa Hall Reid
- Rev. Patrick D. Clayborn, PhD & Rev. Dr. Sheri Smith Clayborn

Your leadership and service continue to shape Bethel’s story in profound ways.

To my family and friends — your love and support overwhelmed me. My only regret is that I didn’t get a picture with everyone who was there. Please know I felt your presence and your encouragement throughout the night.

Enjoy some highlights from the gala - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKkOLu3fGB0 and Bethel's 240th Anniversary Souvenir Book - https://online.flippingbook.com/view/843172379/ .
Here’s to the next 240 years of healing, help, and hope at Bethel AME Church. To God be the glory for the great things He has done—and the greater things still to come!
