“I think I’ve missed the rehearsal room as much as I’ve missed the stage. ‘Live’ interaction with an audience is electrifying, and to inhabit a character and allow them to be seen is a very powerful feeling. But, equally, I’ve also missed the fun of creating, and improvising, and being in the company of like-minded people who find just as much enjoyment from ideas and play. Theatre is a very collaborative art form, and even as I search for other ways to be creative, I cannot deny that theatre is addictive. There is a beautiful relationship that one can have in a very protected space where we can play with ideas, and I haven’t found that kind of community elsewhere at the moment.“

What a privilege to be given the safety and space to explore my new voice. Thank you, @wildricesg @ivanhengwild. Thank you for the interview, @voguesingapore.

On my recent trip to Seoul, I was kind of charmed by @standoil bags, and really wanted to buy one. Simple, affordable, fun designs and colours. But the ones I wanted were all unfortunately out of stock.

Fast forward to me back in Singapore, discovering that @club21 carries @standoil online, including several other K-fashion brands that I follow, like @margesherwood_official.

And they were all at 25% off this past week. So I got what I wanted after all! Ha! A black More Baguette that sits easily on the shoulder, small enough for travel, sizeable enough to fit my wallet, phone, sunnies, makeup pouch, with room to spare. Now i just need me some charms to make it cute!

Could you please bring in my other favourite k-brand @lowclassic_seoul?

Meet our guests for this week’s episode of The Leong Form!

𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗞𝗼𝗵 (@janiceymkoh) — Singaporean actress, former Nominated Member of Parliament and cancer survivor. In July 2022, Janice was diagnosed with tongue cancer. How devastating the news for someone whose career depends on the spoken word. Today, she’s not just back on her feet, she’s back on stage!

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝘆𝗲𝗿 — Head & Senior Consultant, Department of Head and Neck Surgery at Singapore General Hospital and the National Cancer Centre Singapore (@nationalcancercentresg). He’s a recipient of the National Outstanding Clinician Award at the National Medical Excellence Awards 2026. Prof Gopal has delivered the “C” word to more patients than he can count. He reveals what those moments are really like from the other side of the table.

In this episode, we consider:
- 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳
- 𝘐𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘢 “𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘺” 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘴
- 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘑𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦’𝘴 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯
- 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢
- 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘑𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦’𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺

A conversation about fear, faith and what it means to live fully when life feels fragile.

Tomorrow, we’re talking about the word nobody wants to hear.

“𝘋𝘪𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯?”

That’s the question at the heart of our next episode — a raw, honest conversation about what it’s really like to hear the words “you have cancer.”

1 in 4 Singaporeans will face this journey in their lifetime. Tomorrow, two people who know it intimately, sit down with us to talk fear, hope and what it means to live fully.

One for whom cancer didn’t have the last word is Singaporean actress 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗞𝗼𝗵 (@janiceymkoh)
Alongside her on the show is her oncologist, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝘆𝗲𝗿, from the National Cancer Centre Singapore.

This isn’t simply a story about illness and overcoming cancer. It’s about resilience, relationships and rediscovering what truly matters when life feels fragile.

Drop us your 🙌 below if you’ve walked this journey or loved someone enough to journey with that person.

Seasons Of Life on The Leong Form premieres tomorrow at 9am SGT! Catch a brand new season with brothers, Hossan and Stanley Leong! by @janiceymkoh

We closed The Radicalisation of Mrs. Mary Lim-Rodrigues last night, on World Mental Health Day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the show. So many of you shared how close to home this play felt, as educators, as former students, and as people trying to care for others while navigating the systems we live and work in. Thank you for sharing your experiences, staying for our post-show dialogues, and being willing to talk about things that can be difficult to put into words.

To playwright Michelle Tan @polishingfirewood, director Edith Podesta @edithpodesta, and our entire company, onstage and off: thank you for the care, courage and craft you brought to this production, and for bringing this new Singaporean play so vividly to life.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to our post-show speakers and mental-health support team, and to @majuritysg’s Musim Mas BlueStar* Fund for supporting the conversations and care that surrounded every performance.

This play asks us to reflect on the distance between our good intentions and the impact we have on others, and what it takes to practise radical empathy — especially towards those we do not fully understand. We hope Mary and Shan’s story helps us listen better and look closer, and that the conversation carries on in our classrooms, homes and communities.

We’ll leave you with these words from Michelle, who describes the play as a love letter:
“It is written for all the young people I’ve had the privilege to care for, past and present. It is written for the people we have lost, and those we are still afraid of losing. It is written for all the Marys we know, and all the Marys we also are. I hope this letter reaches you.” ❤️ taken in WILD RICE by @janiceymkoh

No perfect hair, but an almost perfect sunset.

It is the end of our first week of shows, which, honestly, has been quite draining. I always like to plan a little treat on Sunday evenings, after leaving the theatre, to unwind and decompress.

Today, it is a walk by the beach, and a relaxing, delicious meal at one of our east coast favourites, @ficomasseria. The sky wasn’t so hazy, there was a lovely sea breeze, and we saw so many families with their kids and dogs on walks and picnics . The world may be heavy, but our hearts can be light. taken in Fico by @janiceymkoh
