Amigas…..I’ve been officially signed with management for over a year now!!! 🥺🫶🏽✨🫀

And I want to use this moment to give my manager, @thealejajimenez her flowers.

There’s something really special about having someone in your corner who can REALLY SEE your potential even in the moments when you still don’t know wtf you’re doing... lol

Aleja, you are the epitome of hard work, dedication, & resilience. I’m constantly in awe of you & the way you show up, lead, advocate & pour so much into the people you believe in (just look at the way I admire her lol). I feel incredibly honored that you’ve chosen to be part of my team & this journey.

I got married 4 days ago & I’m still recovering 🥹✨💍👰🏽‍♀️

The wedding was beautiful, but per usual, not everything went as planned. There were so many little things that changed, unexpected moments, emotions, & just SO much happening all at once.

Tengo mucho que platicarles jaja I swear only someone who has planned a wedding understands this weird feeling after it’s all over. The wedding blues are REAL.

We stayed at @stellamaris.cabanas.mx about an hour from San Diego & it was exactly what I needed after the wedding. Slow mornings, ocean views, sleeping in… and THE BED. 😭 The pillows, the mattress, everything was insanely comfortable. I slept like a baby!! I highly recommend!! @baja.lifestyle.stays

It’s so hard to believe these photos were taken over a year ago!! I still can’t believe I’ll be getting married soon…..

There are things we inherit from our families that we carry without ever questioning them. The way we love, the way we communicate, the things we fear, the things we normalize, the things we never learned how to say. At some point, you realize you have the opportunity to do something different.

Maybe that’s one of the most beautiful parts of generational healing realizing that the work we do within ourselves doesn’t end with us.

I was asked multiple times, “So… what do you do? What brings you to this conference?”

I smiled & said, “Well…TikTok invited me to be here.”

Obviously, they didn’t invite me because I’m a politician or a policy expert. They invited me because they believe in my ability to tell stories & the community we’ve built together.

Walking into the NALEO conference was honestly a little intimidating. I was surrounded by some of the country’s most influential Latino elected officials, leaders, educators & changemakers. In my head I was like “girl what are you even doing here” lmao

I quickly reframed my thinking & reminded myself that healing & personal growth are the foundation of everything!! When we heal ourselves, we become better parents, neighbors, leaders & community members!

I know politics can be a sensitive topic but we all have a role to play in creating change. Not everyone is called to be a politician, some people create by organizing their communities. Others by teaching, mentoring, volunteering, raising kind humans, or simply showing up for the people around them!!

Wherever you’re called to serve, pon tu granito de arena.
